The 12-time Grammy Award winner, previously named Most Charitable Celebrity for the fourth year in 2015, has a reputation for helping those in need over the years, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2020, the Maroon hitmaker made two generous donations of $13,000 each to two mothers, featured in an article drawing attention to the millions of Americans entering the holiday season unemployed and left behind on rent or utilities.

After discovering the GoFundMe fundraisers of Nashville-based single mom Nikki Cornwell and Shelbie Selewski, of Harrison Township, the artist did a series of incredible acts of kindness.

Nikki, I read about you in the Washington Post and thought it was very brave of you to share your story.

She continued, “I’m so sorry for everything you’ve had to go through this year and I wanted to send you this gift, from one Nashville girl to another. Love, Taylor.”

Beloved: In the past, Taylor has donated $10,000 to an autistic boy named Jacob Hill to help him get a service dog, helped a Swiftie pay off her student loans, and donated $10,000 to a fan battling cancer to help pay her medical bills

As for the second recipient of Swift’s generosity, she chose Selewski, who lost her job in the spring and has to stay home with her daughter Vada, who was born with a collapsed right lung.

Despite trying “tirelessly” to find another job and helping her then seven-year-old navigate her online classes, she said the process “has proven incredibly difficult.”

“We’ve sold everything we could sell and that’s always paid our bills as much as possible, but it feels like every day something else pops up,” she said.

Selewski added that she ‘never’ thought she’d have to make ‘a GoFundMe but’ one day with Christmas coming up,’ she didn’t know what else to do.’

Any donations received, she said, would be “used directly to keep her family’s lights on and rent them so they’re not turned off.”

In response, Swift donated $13,000 dollars and revealed that she had read about her situation in the Washington Post.

“No one should feel the stress that has been placed on you. I hope you and your beautiful family have a happy holiday season,” she wrote on Selewski’s page.
