She released her highly anticipated tenth studio album, Midnights, when the clock struck 12 on Friday.
But Taylor Swift wasn’t done there when she dropped seven more shock tracks three hours later in an expanded “3AM version” of the new release.
The bomb means fans who have already purchased the album will need to purchase the 3AM version to listen to the full 20-track listing.

Taylor wrote the album for about 13 sleepless nights in her life, but took to Instagram in the early hours to explain that seven more songs had been made to get to those main tracks.
The singer explained: ‘Surprise! I think of Midnights as a complete concept album, with those 13 tracks giving a full picture of the intensity of that mystifying, crazy hour.
‘However! There were other songs we wrote on our journey to find that magical 13. I call them 3am tracks.
Lately I’ve been loving sharing more of our creative process with you, as we do with From The Vault tracks. So it’s 3am and I’m giving them to you now,” she concluded.
The announcement sent fans, already in a frenzy over the 13-song Midnights, into even more of a meltdown.
They hit #2 on Twitter’s trending and took to social media to declare their love for the 7 additional songs – with many even preferring the 3am version over the original 13 songs.
“The core album has some great songs, but the 3AM songs… are different,” wrote one fan.
While another gushed, ‘These 3am songs are awesome’.
