Taylor Swift’s visit to a Sydney zoo has reportedly sparked a rivalry between competing zoos in the area.
Taylor’s boyfriend Travis Kelce touched down in Sydney on Thursday morning and the Style singer wasted no time in showing him around the Harbor City.
The 34-year-old was so impressed with her visit to the Sydney Zoo on Wednesday that she opted to take her husband straight to the Australian wildlife park to get up close and personal with some of the country’s most iconic animals when he landed.
Swift’s decision to go to the Sydney Zoo, instead of the iconic Taronga Zoo, resulted in a statement from the competing park and a reported rivalry, the Daily telegram reported on Tuesday.
“While we would have been thrilled to host Taylor Swift, we are grateful that she took the opportunity to meet some of Australia’s iconic species during her time in Sydney,” Taronga Zoo said in a statement.

“Zoos play an important role in educating guests of all ages and backgrounds about wildlife and inspiring future generations to take action for nature,” the report continued.
Meanwhile, Sydney Zoo boasts on their website that they offer ‘an experience that is more immersive and engaging than traditional zoos’, adding: ‘Sydney Zoo has Sydney’s ONLY rhino’.
The public can also see “the first hyena cub ever born in Sydney” at the park, according to the website.
The global superstar was the epitome of casual cool as she enjoyed her romantic reunion with her handsome boyfriend after his Super Bowl win at the zoo.
