Taylor Swift skips second straight  Chiefs game as Travis Kelce tries to get Kansas City back winning

Taylor Swift will not be at the Carolina Panthers vs Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, despite having the day off from touring.

Her boyfriend Travis Kelce is trying to get his team back to winning ways in Sunday’s game in Charlotte after last weekend’s loss to the Buffalo Bills.

But he will do so without his girlfriend in the stands. According to ESPN reporter David Newton, the singer did not travel to North Carolina for the game.

“I told Taylor Swift he’s not coming to Charlotte for the Panthers-Chiefs,” Newton wrote on X.

Swift played in Toronto on Saturday night and her next show is in Vancouver on Friday, December 6.

But the singer hasn’t made a single road game appearance for the Chiefs this season, so the decision isn’t hugely surprising.

Eras Tour commitments have played a role in that, but Swift is also believed to have a harder time seeing Kelce when he plays outside of Kansas City due to team rules about how the Chiefs travel together.

Her next chance to watch the Chiefs play is now Friday. They’re back in Kansas City for a divisional matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium.

However, Swift’s friend and fellow WAG Brittany Mahomes did travel for the game and shared a photo on her Instagram Story of herself warming up the team from the sidelines.

For Kelce, Sunday’s game caps off an emotional week for his family after the Chiefs star found out he will soon become an uncle for the fourth time.

His older brother Jason and wife Kylie revealed they are expecting their fourth child – a fourth girl – and Swift liked the announcement on social media.

The Kansas City star also made an impassioned plea to his team this week on his New Heights show, calling on them to return to winning ways after last week’s loss to the Bills.

“I don’t care how your body feels, I don’t care where your mentality is off the field,” he said.

“When you walk into that building, we’re here to figure it out. We are here to get better as football players for the football team.

“That’s a future mentality that everyone needs to be a part of, from the top down, including myself.”
