Taylor Swift runs off stage when secret floor panel fails to open during show in Cincinnati
Taylor Swift had to show off her sprinting skills after an accident on Friday at her Eras Tour show at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The pop superstar had just finished a song on the extended part of the stage and was waiting for a secret platform on the floor to open and lower her to the backstage area.
When the panel failed to activate in the normal time, Swift quickly took action and decided to run to the back of her main stage.
Some fans captured the moment on camera and it has since gone viral on social media.
In the clip, Swift can be seen giving a burst of speed to run past her dancers during the show, seemingly out of fear that she would be late for a quick change.
Thinking fast: Taylor Swift, 33, was forced to sprint offstage after a secret floor panel failed to open and lowered her to the backstage area during her show at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio on Friday

The Look What You Made Me Do singer stood motionless as her backup dancers walked to the main stage, in the moments after the song ended.
Dressed in a one-legged black patterned bodysuit, heeled boots and fishnet stockings during that part of the show, Swift waited about five seconds for that floor panel to activate.
Then she made her mad sprint along the extended part of the stage, past the dancers, to the back part.
In the end, the All Too Well star had nothing to fear, as the panel began to open shortly after she ran for it.
Even fans pointed out that the door started working again in the comments section of the TikTok video.
“Run (Taylor’s version),” one fan commented, while another joked that they’re “awesome” on the “errors tour.”
Another person commented on her thought process, writing, “I love how she goes for a prop first and then realizes she needs to do a full sprint,” another commented.
Then there were others who praised her for being “committed” to keeping the show on track by running on her heels to the back end.
“This gets funnier the more you watch it,” someone else added.
“Imagine being the people under the stage waiting to help her change quickly and the platform comes down and she’s just gone,” another Swiftie shared of the situation.
There would be more drama for the singer-songwriter ahead of her second show at Cincinnati’s Paycor Stadium on Saturday, July 1.
Earlier in the day, with word of possible bad weather on the horizon, Swift decided she would still go ahead with the show, but start earlier than usual.
“Hey Cincinnati – Unfortunately we have a different weather situation, but this just means I can see you sooner!” she shared on her Twitter page, in the hours leading up to show time, adding, ”I’m going an hour early at 7pm – we open the doors at 4:30pm. See you then!’
The Lover is almost four months into her Eras tour, which kicked off March 17 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
