Taylor Swift reveals she feels ‘amazing and powerful’ as she storms the stage in Liverpool after battling days of chilly weather on UK tour leg

Taylor Swift felt “amazing and powerful” as she stormed the stage at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool on Friday for the final leg of her Eras Tour.

The pop icon, 34, has been struggling to adapt to Britain’s cold weather as she kicked off the leg of her Eras tour last week with three sold-out shows in Scotland.

But the sun finally shone for Taylors and thousands of her fans, who showed up for the show in high spirits.

Taylor wowed in a shimmering red deep blazer, with a guitar in her hands – before making ten more outfit changes.

She told the crowd: ‘Liverpool, you just made me feel so great. That was really cool, it went to my head. You made me feel very powerful.

‘This weekend is the first time I’ve ever had the chance to play in Liverpool. And you have already made a stunning impression on me.

I’m having more fun on this tour than I have in my entire life!’

The crowd erupted as she kicked off the show with Cruel Summer, before singing The Man and Calm Down.

Her surprise song of the show was a mashup of This Is What You Came For and Gold Rush.

It comes after Taylor admitted she had a ‘sniffing nose’ during her performance in Liverpool on Thursday, before introducing the evening’s surprise song.

The singer is struggling to adapt to the cold weather in Britain as she kicked off the leg of her Eras tour last week with three sold-out shows in Scotland.

The Pennsylvania-born star wiped her nose with a tissue and smiled to reassure the audience, “It’s going to be okay.” I can do it with a sniffing nose. It is well.’

The Bad Blood hitmaker then took to the piano where she wowed fans with a surprise medley of Cornelia Street and Maroon.

Fans rushed to comment on the clip on TikTok, echoing the singer: ‘I can do it with a nose sniff, it’s fine’; ‘Say with me: “I CAN DO WITH A SNIFFLE NOSE”‘; “I can’t believe I haven’t seen 5,000 tweets about ‘I can do it with a sniffer nose’.”

“She totally noticed people telling her to get a tissue,” another user wrote, referring to the time Taylor blew her nose into her fingers several times before wiping her fingers on her sparkly outfit during the performance in Edinburgh.

As part of the first leg of her UK tour, the singer performed three shows at Murrayfield Stadium last weekend, with more than 219,000 fans watching.

She told the crowd: 'Liverpool, you just made me feel so great. That was really cool, it went to my head. You made me feel very powerful.”

Although summer is only just over a week away, the cool air in the stadium probably didn’t help the singer’s case after temperatures dipped below eight degrees Celsius on the night of the show.

Some have blamed cold temperatures for the incident after the pop star was seen clearing snot from her nose while performing hit ‘Don’t Blame Me’.

The video shows the singer blowing a stream of snot into her hands, which she then lets drip down her hand before wiping her skirt.

Some fans have even accused the pop sensation of moving the slime at her fans while warming up the red nose.

While some have been sympathetic, many have taken to social media to express their disgust at seeing the pop star reeling off strings of snot.

One user wrote: ‘Taylor Swift blew her nose and sniffed her skirt on stage. Fans also noticed how Taylor licked the snot off her nose at one point.”

A second was completely disgusted: “Please give Taylor Swift some tissues, the amount of times I’ve seen her wipe her nose with her hands in the last few days is crazy. I understand she’s acting, but there has to be a way to make sure she always has access to some tissues.”

However, some defended her with one writing: ‘I’m not even a Swiftie but I honestly don’t understand why anyone would be angry or disgusted by someone wiping their nose. Serious? What was she supposed to do? I guess she didn’t have a tissue with her, but at least she didn’t want her face covered in snot.”

Taylor’s trio of Edinburgh shows kicked off the singer’s UK tour, which will be followed by nights in Cardiff and Liverpool and eight nights at Wembley – which will be attended by 720,000 fans in London alone.

Taylor has already performed 53 shows in the US, she will return after the European leg to perform nine more shows in Miami, New Orleans and Indianapolis. She will perform a total of 50 shows in 18 cities in Europe.

Some devoted fans started queuing 48 hours before the star arrived in town for her tour, while as many as 220,000 people waited excitedly for a glimpse and to purchase merchandise.

However, many struggled to find accommodation in Edinburgh as hotels quickly booked up despite their rates tripling during the megastar’s three-night residency between June 7 and 9.

Her Eras tour will boost the UK economy by almost £1 billion.

In addition to the ticket price itself, fans also spend a lot of money on travel, accommodation, a pre-concert meal and official merchandise, and many will also buy a new outfit for the big occasion.

Researchers have calculated that every Swiftie attending an Eras concert in Britain will spend an average of £848 to see their idol perform.

Since her Scottish debut this weekend, British fans have complained that they are struggling to get tickets as Americans buy up British shows.

On social media after the show, fans said they were angry at the choice of some attendees to fly to Scotland, as the singer has not performed in the country for eight years.

While Americans have responded, they have struggled to get tickets in their home state, adding that European dates are significantly cheaper due to the strength of the dollar.

Of the 4.35 million tickets sold to Swiftie fans, people from all over the world are struggling to get into shows due to exceptionally high demand.
