Taylor Swift reportedly recorded a jump song with ex Matty Healy (Taylor's Version) in 1989 – before scrapping his verse following their split
Taylor Swift would sing the song Slut! with her ex-boyfriend Matty Healy for her re-recorded album 1989 (Taylor's Version), but his verse was scrapped following their split in June last year.
The Bad Blood hitmaker, 34 — who will attend the Golden Globes without boyfriend Travis Kelce — revisited the unreleased song last year during the pair's short-lived romance, per The sun.
According to the outlet, the 1975 frontman had recorded a verse for Taylor's revived song, but it was edited out of the song by the time the new 1989 version was released in October 2023.
DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for both Swift and Healy but has not yet responded for comment.
Slut! was written in 2014, around the time both Taylor and Matty had been fueling dating rumors, but the song never made it onto her 1989 album.

Even though Healy is not on Slut! appears, Swifties recently claimed that the written lyrics accompanying the vinyl edition of the 1989 reissue include Matty's missing verse, and that The 1975 is also credited as an artist on the song.
Healy's deleted verse reportedly reads: “Days are shrinking into long nights now / Plus 44 on an American phone / Cat eye brushes her cheekbone / But it's elegant / I'm telling you, “You're not a slut, you're just relevant.”
Late last month, TikTok user @emmahanobrien shared one now viral clip of opening the vinyl and gave her followers a glimpse of the verse and the credit given to The 1975.
In the caption, the social media user typed, “I just casually pulled out my vinyl and saw THIS.”
Other TikTok users took to the comments section, with one writing, “Honestly it felt like a 1975 song to me so this makes perfect sense.”
'Grrrr, I love The 1975 and I love Taylor too. It's frustrating that we'll never get this,” one person wrote, while another added: “NAURRR what if he took it back because we didn't like him.”
However, one fan said: 'Thank God they were in it!!!!!' while others wondered if the video was fake or real.
In May 2023, Matty appeared at Taylor's Eras Tour concert in Nashville, which was also attended by some of her friends, including model Gigi Hadid.
Later that month, the pair were seen holding hands while spending time together in New York during a short break from her tour.

The 1975 frontman attended another Swift concert in her hometown of Philadelphia, joining her father, Scott, for the festivities.
Also in May, Taylor and Matty were notably spotted leaving Electric Lady Studios in Greenwich Village together.
Even though Healy is not on Slut! appears, Swifties have claimed that his missing verse is included in the written lyrics included with the vinyl release, and The 1975 are also credited as a featured artist on the song.
In May 2023, Matty was seen at Taylor's Eras Tour concert in Nashville, and later that month they were seen holding hands in New York during a short break from her tour.
However, the following month, in June, the singers broke up. 'She had fun with him, but it was always casual. They are no longer romantically involved,” a separate insider confirmed People.
In November 2022, Matty had revealed that he had also collaborated on the Grammy winner's album Midnights, despite previously shutting down rumors of the collaboration.
While it appears on KROQ's Klein/Ally Showthe Somebody Else hitmaker explained: “We actually worked on that a little bit, but the version of it never came out.”
He then defended the Love Story singer, adding: “It was for reasons that shouldn't be criticized… She's amazing.”
After its release in 1989 (Taylor's Version) on October 27, 2023, the re-recorded album topped the charts in countries such as the US, Australia, Canada and the UK.
The album also had the biggest sales week of Swift's career, as well as the highest vinyl sales week of the 21st century.
Following their split last year, Healy has moved on and is dating model Gabbriette Betchel, while Taylor is most notably dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
The couple made their budding romance public when the singer attended the Chiefs vs. Chiefs game in September 2023. Bears at Arrowhead Stadium, although the pair started talking months earlier.

However, she will appear at the ceremony without her NFL star boyfriend, who will be in Los Angeles at the same time.
As the awards ceremony takes place, the Chiefs will take on the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium.
After the game, Kelce also won't be meeting up with his girlfriend to attend any glamorous after-parties, as he will immediately fly back to Missouri with his team to prepare for the playoffs, according to Page six.
