Taylor Swift might not sit with Brittany Mahomes – but Patrick does! Chiefs QB joins wife to cheer on Kansas City Current in NWSL on Saturday night
Patrick Mahomes filled the void left by Taylor Swift on Saturday night by sitting next to his wife Brittany to cheer on Kansas City Current during their game against the Utah Royals.
Brittany and Patrick co-own the NSWL team, which plays at CPKC Stadium in Kansas City, the first soccer stadium in the world built specifically for women.
The Current shared a selfie of Brittany and Patrick watching the game together, wearing their team caps and shirts to cheer them on to a 1-0 victory.
This came after Brittany was not seated by Travis Kelce’s girlfriend Taylor Swift at the Chiefs game on Thursday night as they cheered on their partners.
Mahomes and Swift played together multiple times for the Chiefs last season, cheering the team to their second straight Super Bowl victory in as many seasons.

But Mahomes has recently openly endorsed Donald Trump in the upcoming presidential election, a stance that seemingly runs counter to what Swift has said in the past.
Earlier on Saturday, it was reported that Mahomes and Swift both wanted to experience “a different vibe” during the Chiefs’ NFL season opener, as they defeated the Baltimore Ravens 27-20 at Arrowhead Stadium.
A source close to Mahomes told The Sun: ‘They’re very good friends and they were really looking forward to going to the game, but they had other plans, as sometimes happens.
‘Brittany is a real family woman and Taylor sometimes enjoys the game as if it were a party.
‘They were in a different mood for the first game of the season. They lingered before and after the game as they waited for Patrick and Travis.
“But Brittany preferred to play the first game of the season in a suite with family and kids, in a more ‘low key’ atmosphere. Taylor wanted more of a ‘party and drink atmosphere’ before the game and enjoy it differently.
“There is absolutely no tension between them, they love and respect each other very much. They just wanted a different atmosphere for the first game of the season at home.”

Travis and Taylor, meanwhile, were in New York. They attended a wedding reception Saturday night at Electric Lady Studios in New York’s Greenwich Village.
Both Kelce and Mahomes have this weekend off with the Chiefs.
They don’t have to be back until Tuesday, when the team prepares for its game against the Cincinnati Bengals next Sunday.
