Taylor Swift makes politics pact with Brittany Mahomes as Chief star’s wife faces growing controversy over Donald Trump support

Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes have taken steps to save their friendship amid mounting speculation that the Kansas City Chief WAG’s support for Donald Trump could cause an explosive rift with the singer.

“Taylor won’t be included in this anti-Brittany narrative because they have made a pact not to talk about politics,” they said.

“They both know it can break friendships and they respect that they have different views.”

The source claimed that “Brittany knew better than to talk politics” during a recent party Taylor threw for Blake Lively at her Rhode Island mansion because she didn’t want to “risk a confrontation over opposing viewpoints.”

“It was an unwritten rule that no one in Taylor’s Rhode Island home was to discuss politics,” they said. “The subject was taboo.

“It’s not just Taylor who hasn’t spoken out for either candidate, it’s Travis as well. They know how much influence they have.”

According to the insider, Taylor’s Eras Tour has opened her eyes to the fact that she has millions of fans who don’t all share the same views, and she’s learned to respect that.

“She loves her fans and has sold out stadiums in both Republican and Democratic states, and has performed in countries where communism is rampant,” they continued.

“They are brought together by their love for her music. If and when Taylor is ready to endorse a candidate, she will do so. This is not the time for her to do so.”

Another source added: ‘Taylor deals with so many different people in her career and life, who are so different, that she does it with love. If you’re a good person, chances are she respects you.

“She and Brittany talk about other things and never about politics, so Taylor isn’t going to let this be a breaking point for their friendship.”

Last week, Brittany, who has been married to Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes since 2022, caused a liberal meltdown by liking a post from Trump He maps out 16 of his policies for his 26.3 million followers, ranging from topics such as immigration to the economy.

Earlier this month, Taylor hinted that she would not be making statements on topics she felt could be “provocative” after her three shows in Vienna were abruptly cancelled due to a foiled terrorist attack.

In an interview on the WHOOP podcast, she said Patrick helped her block out the criticism she received online.

“He’s really good at blocking people, so it’s helped having him around,” she said. “The biggest thing he’s always told me is to stop worrying about what people think, especially people who don’t even know you.

“I think social media used to really affect me. Now it’s just like, honestly, I don’t give a f**k what people say about me. And I think he helped me get to that point.
