While in Tokyo, where she nearly fell off a chair during a steamy performance, she told fans, “Everyone says, ‘Why are you making so many albums?’ I’m like, “Man, because I love it! I love it so much!”

“I’m having fun, leave me alone!” Swift — who was criticized for seemingly ignoring Celine Dion at the Grammys — added.

The star also revealed that work on the new record began right after she completed her last album Midnights in 2022.

“I’ve been working on Tortured Poets since I turned in Midnights.”

‘You hand in an album months in advance so you can make vinyl, that’s the best. So I started working on it straight away and have been working on it for about two years.’

She also said that if she had not won a Grammy on Sunday, she planned to announce the new album at the first concert in Tokyo.

“I thought, ‘If I’m lucky enough to get a Grammy… I’m just going to do it’… My backup plan was I was going to do it tonight in Tokyo.”
