Taylor performed in Arizona on Friday and Saturday for the first two performances of the tour – with many spectators capturing the dive on camera.
Donning a flowing dress, the country-turned-pop star can be seen walking towards a rectangular opening that opened up in the stage.
She then puts her hands in the air and gets into good diving form, before making the structured jump through the stage.
As she makes the dive, a splash sound effect comes over the stadium as an image of her swimming under the stage projects onto the floor, before she reappears to sing songs from her Midnights album.
A shocked fan took to Twitter to debrief the unexpected moment, writing, “EXCUSE ME TAYLOR SWIFT JUST HAD A DIVE HEAD FIRST INTO THE STAGE WHAT”.
While another joked, “Besides being a 12-time Grammy winner, a doctor, a director, one of the music industry’s most acclaimed songwriters, and having a record-breaking career in the arts, Taylor Swift is now looking for that swimming. Olympic medal, look at that dive’.
“The dive was the craziest thing I’ve ever seen, I was so blown away by the LMAO,” said another.
Taylor’s highly anticipated tour has yet to release international dates, but will wrap up the US on August 9 in Los Angeles.
She certainly makes it worthwhile for fans as well, as she has performed a whopping 44 songs per night, resulting in over three hours of singing.

It’s no wonder the setlist is so hefty as Taylor has been busy since he last took the stage in 2018, shortly after release album Reputation.
But she has since released Lover, Folklore and Evermore, and re-recorded her albums Red and Fearless.
Glendale, Arizona, was thrilled to be chosen as the venue to kick off Taylor’s tour — and the mayor even named it “Swift City” for the weekend in her honor.
Performing in front of 70,000 fans on opening night, the 12-time Grammy winner took the stage in multiple outfits, including a pink rhinestone leotard with nude tights and shimmering knee-high boots, and a sultry one-legged black bodysuit studded with ruby snakes while bicycles and cars passed her on stage.
The hitmaker also recently dropped four new songs in honor of her tour, three of which are re-recordings of previous songs, to get fans excited about this tour.
