Taylor Swift is ‘gearing up to release her debut novel’ as she wraps the European leg of her mammoth Eras tour after sitting on the project for almost a decade

She just finished the European leg of her Eras tour.

However, it appears Taylor, 34, has no plans to slow down or take a break anytime soon, as she is reportedly busy writing a novel.

The book, titled A Girl Called Girl, was written by the singer when she was just a teenager and tells the story of a mother who wanted a son rather than a daughter.

Taylor was only 14 when she wrote the story, but it was never published. It was believed that her parents kept the draft.

The star has now trademarked the name and rights to her debut novel. However, it is not the first time she has trademarked the book.

She first acquired the rights to the name in 2015, and after nearly a decade of working on the project, fans now appear to be one step closer to getting their hands on Swiftie.

According to The SunThe new trademark applies to merchandise of the book as well as audio versions, and it looks like Taylor is getting ready to introduce her novel to the world.

MailOnline has contacted Taylor’s representative for comment.

She previously indicated that she started writing the book before her music career really took off.

During her 2012 tour, she explained that all her friends were in Pennsylvania at the time and so she had “nothing to do.”

She told her fans at the time, “All my friends were back in Pennsylvania, so I had nothing to do.”

‘I had an epiphany; I’m going to be a novelist and I’m going to write novels. That’s going to be my career path.’

Taylor will continue her tour in November with her first stop in Toronto on November 14, before heading to Vancouver for a series of shows on December 6.

Although Taylor was only 14 when she wrote the story, it never saw the light of day and was previously believed to be in the care of her parents (L-R Scott Swift, Taylor and Andrea Swift in 2013)

She reportedly has several projects in the pipeline, including a re-recorded version of her 2017 album Reputation, which fans are already excited about.

Now that she’s adding this novel to the mix, it could mean even more joy for Swifties everywhere.

With her European tour behind her and the NFL season approaching, Taylor and Travis Kelce, 34, are making the most of their time off with a much-needed romantic reunion – but only for ‘two weeks’, DailyMail.com revealed.

The power couple reunited for an end-of-summer getaway and were spotted on the balcony of the singer’s impressive Rhode Island mansion.

The $17 million vacation home gained celebrity status after it became the site of Taylor’s legendary, star-studded Independence Day parties.

However, the pop star had to skip the festivities this year due to her 51-concert tour of Europe, which ended last week.

Taylor returned to her iconic vacation home for the first time this summer — with her boyfriend in tow. And it looks like their friends and family — including Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes — have joined them.

Locals and fans were quick to notice the pop sensation was back after dozens of armed guards were spotted lining the grounds.

Taylor’s security chased away fans who wanted to see The Eras Tour star, but not before they took a selfie in her driveway.

One group even went up to the guards and offered them $50 to catch a glimpse of the star and her suitor.
