Taylor Swift hails Maisie Peters ‘the most amazing opening act possible’ as she takes to the stage at Wembley
Taylor Swift called Maisie Peters ‘the most amazing opening act ever’ during her fourth performance at Wembley.
The 34-year-old singer praised Maisie, 24, as she took to the stage in London on Monday in front of 92,000 fans.
Taylor admitted she was a “huge fan” and praised the English singer’s writing skills, saying she “did an amazing job”.
Paramore will perform every night, but Raye, Suki Waterhouse, Holly Humberstone, Sofia Isella and Maisie will each play one night.
Stopping a song to address the crowd, Taylor said, “The plan is we’re going to have an amazing night. But you guys have already had an amazing night because you were completely blown away by the most amazing opening act there is.”

The 34-year-old singer praised Maisie, 24, as she took to the stage in London on Monday in front of 92,000 adoring fans
She continued: ‘I’m a really big fan of hers, she’s amazing, she’s absolutely incredible, she’s done an amazing job on this stage and I love her songwriting so much!’
‘I’m of course talking about the amazing Maisie Peters!’
Maisie shared on Instagram how excited she is to be opening for the superstar, sharing photos from her soundcheck.
Last year, at the age of 23, she became the youngest British artist in nine years to have a number one album, according to the Official Charts Company.
The musician’s album, The Good Witch, is a follow-up to her 2021 debut album You Signed Up For This, which peaked at number two on the charts.
Maisie made her debut on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage in 2023 and her performance coincided with the release of her new album.
She is signed to Ed Sheeran’s record label, Gingerbread Man Records.
Elsewhere, Swifties were convinced Post Malone would be joining the hitmaker on stage in the capital after spotting a key detail on the poster for the shows.

The billionaire singer is on the second leg of her Eras Tour with five dates at the stadium in London, after selling out several shows in June.
However, when Taylor took the stage to sing Fortnight, from her latest album The Tortured Poets Department, Malone was noticeably absent.
Eagle-eyed fans thought the rapper would join her on stage after spotting symbols next to each concert date to promote the show.
The poster featured a typewriter, a symbol that appeared frequently in their joint video clip, in addition to Friday’s performance.
Fans were further convinced of their theory after Taylor shared a photo of her and Malone, real name Austin Richard Post, on her Instagram Stories just before the show.
In a glowing tribute, she wrote: ‘I was lucky enough to hear this amazing music on the set of the ‘Fortnight’ music video when Austin played it for me.
‘It’s incredible how versatile his artistry is. And just the most down-to-earth man there is.’
The poster for her first concert featured a heart, which fans thought was a reference to the surprise appearance of her beloved boyfriend Ed Sheeran, 33, who sent the crowd wild when he walked on stage.
The star is set to take center stage on Thursday, which Swifties say is a nod to the launch of her new Midnight bodysuit.
Looking ahead, they decided that on Monday, with a top hat as a symbol, Taylor’s boyfriend Travis Kelcee, 34, would return to Wembley.
Last month, the American footballer, dressed in a top hat and tailcoat, took to the arena stage during a segment in which he helped his girlfriend get changed.

At the final performance there was a camera present, which was interpreted as the announcement of a behind-the-scenes documentary of the tour.
After one fan posted the theory on X, others rushed to the comments, convinced they had cracked the code. They wrote: ‘Also the fact that when Travis was on stage [Taylor] said it was his “debut” which makes me think it was definitely NOT his last time on stage’: ‘Okay you’re on the right track’: THIS IS WHAT I ALSO THINK!!!!’: ‘Absolutely Post Malone! Taylor’s private jet flew from Nashville to London yesterday… and Post has been in Nashville all week!’
Others, however, were quick to dismiss the idea, pointing out that it was likely because of her opening act and the fact that Post was busy promoting his new album in Nashville while Travis was training with his team, the Kansas Chiefs.
