Taylor Swift ‘fits right in’ with Chiefs Kingdom, Patrick Mahomes’ mom Randi tells DailyMail.com, and reveals how her son deals with the pressure as she jokes her family are making the Super Bowl a ‘habit’ with their fourth in five years

Patrick Mahomes’ mother, Randi Martin, revealed that she has grown accustomed to the pressure of her son playing in the Super Bowl.

Mahomes has led the Kansas City Chiefs to their fourth Super Bowl appearance in five years this season and the quarterback will look to capture his third ring on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.

Most moms would be nervous about seeing their son perform on football’s biggest stage, but Randi admitted she grew accustomed to the experience when she spoke to DailyMail.com on the NFL Honors red carpet.

“I’m used to it, but it’s always a little different,” she said. ‘But we make it a habit with our family.

“We’re planning to go to New Orleans next year, let’s keep it that way.”

Despite the importance of the occasion, her son isn’t being pressured either, with Randi revealing he’s taking her advice.

“He just lives in the moment,” she said. “I tell him to stop and relax and enjoy it.

“I told him that the first year and I thought, enjoy it, this could be your only time, and he said, ‘No, it’s not.’ And I thought, “No, but it really could be.”

“Well, this is the only time I can say my son proved me wrong. You know, this is our fourth time and let’s keep going.”

While it isn’t the Mahomes’ first Super Bowl rodeo, there will be a new addition to their big game experience this year.

Taylor Swift, the girlfriend of Mahomes’ boyfriend and teammate Travis Kelce, is expected to arrive in Tokyo from her Eras Tour on Sunday to support her NFL pal in Las Vegas.

The pop star has become fast friends with Mahomes’ wife Brittany and has sat next to the family in VIP suites for 12 games this season.

And Randi claimed the 14-time Grammy Award winner went straight into Chiefs Kingdom.

“It’s crazy, but at the same time, it’s our new life and, you know, we’re just going to roll with it and take it one day at a time,” Randi said of the attention Swift’s performances have attracted. “She fits right in and cheers just like the rest of us.”

However, Mahomes had to focus on the NFL showdown amid some negative headlines this week.

The father of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes Snr., 53, was arrested Saturday night in Texas by Tyler police in at least his third DWI.

Mahomes Sr. was held in the Smith County Jail on $10,000 bond. The 6-foot-4 former professional baseball pitcher slept in jail overnight and was released Sunday.

Randi said they dealt with the incident by “sticking together as a family.”

Earlier this week, the signal caller also remained tight-lipped when asked about his father during the media availability.

“I can’t comment too much on it, but I mean he’s doing well regardless of the situation,” the football star said.

“It’s a family affair, so I’m keeping it close to the family. That’s all I’m going to say for now.”

Bond documents have confirmed that Mahomes Sr can travel to Las Vegas to watch the Chiefs this weekend, but he will have to stay sober and not drink booze while partying in the VIP box.
