Taylor Swift fans spark safety concerns over ‘dangerous’ act after Eras Tour shows canceled in Vienna over failed terror plot
Taylor Swift fans raised safety concerns after they gathered in a large group to sing after her Eras Tour concerts were canceled due to a terrorist threat.
Thousands of Swifties were left heartbroken after it was announced that the 34-year-old singer’s three performances scheduled for this weekend in Vienna, Austria, were canceled after government officials uncovered an ISIS terror plot.
On Thursday, hordes of distraught fans gathered at the stadium to swap bracelets, sing her songs and share their mutual disappointment.
However, some people online questioned whether the mass gathering was safe after it was reported that two men planned to drive a truck into the crowd of fans entering Taylor’s concert and “kill as many people as possible.”
Images of huge groups of Swifties gathering in the Austrian capital went viral on X, formerly Twitter, leaving thousands of people worried for their well-being.

“Isn’t that a bit dangerous after what happened?” someone wrote.
“This is very sweet, but it’s probably more dangerous than just performing a concert…” added another.
“I saw people streaming this on TikTok Live. I don’t understand how they’re not scared, like there’s a terrorist threat,” someone else agreed.
“That’s not something to take lightly. Even if they’re in custody, there could be others working with them.”
“This is really unsafe, people,” read a fourth tweet, while a fifth wrote, “I’m sure they have good intentions, but this probably isn’t very smart.”
“The difference with the concert is that at the concert there was security, metal detectors and bag checks,” another user noted.
However, some fans who attended the event reported that police were present and had blocked off the streets so they could gather.
“Before anyone starts, this is a safe gathering and police are protecting those in attendance,” someone said.

“This is so healthy,” said someone else.
“I was there and I wanted to avoid it at first because I was scared. But I’m so glad I went,” revealed one attendee.
“For me, it was taking back what those people tried to take from us, it was grieving what we lost together, it was cheering each other up.”
