Taylor Swift fans on their way to the Eras tour in Sydney crowd into the Tay Tay Express

Swiftmania is in full swing in Sydney this weekend.

Taylor Swift played her first show in the port city last night and returns to the Accor Stadium stage again on Saturday, and fans have packed onto trains heading to the venue.

On Saturday, a train passenger shared a photo of a carriage on the ‘Tay Tay Express.’

In honor of the event, Sydney trains have been given a Swiftie-friendly name for fans traveling to Olympic Park.

Concertgoers can also enjoy listening to some of Taylor’s biggest hits blasting through the train’s loudspeaker.

Public transport is free for card holders.

‘Everyone aboard the Tay Tay Express! The last stop is Olympic Park via Shake It Off, Anti-Hero, I Knew You Were Trouble, You Belong With Me and Cruel Summer!’ a social media post from Transport for NSW read before the start of the tour.

Fans were happy to see public transport getting into the Swiftie spirit: “I’m in Melbourne and I want to catch this train,” one user wrote.

“I would take the train just for this,” wrote another.

Olympic Park was extra busy on Friday and Saturday evenings with blink-182 performing next door at the Qudos Bank Arena.

It comes after NSW Police encouraged thousands of concertgoers to plan ahead for the weekend to avoid last-minute stress.

More than 300,000 Swifties are expected to flock to Sydney’s Accor Stadium this weekend for the highly anticipated Eras Tour concert and to mark the occasion, Sydney trains have been renamed the ‘Tay Tay Express’

Acting Deputy Commissioner Andrew Holland announced that “additional transportation services will be made available this weekend and we encourage concertgoers to take advantage of them.”

Police operations will take place from Friday 23 February to Monday 26 February to ensure the safety and security of all attendees and staff.

With large crowds expected, Acting Deputy Commissioner Holland urged those without tickets to stay away from the stadium to avoid unwanted congestion.

Holland continued: ‘Anti-social behavior will not be tolerated, and the police will act in a fair but firm manner to ensure everyone has a good time, but not at the expense of the safety of others, so look after each other’.

Swift will perform four shows in Sydney until Monday, February 26.
