Taylor Swift fans are causing backlash for writing to the singer about the 2024 election vote.
A number of Swifties have taken to social media to post their ballots for the Blank Space hitmaker, writing the 34-year-old over official candidates such as Donald Trump, Kamala Harris and Jill Stein.
“I was a first-time voter and I couldn’t bring myself to vote for any of the candidates on the ballot. When I thought about everything Taylor has done for the American economy over the years, I decided to #Vote for Miss Americana myself,” one person said.
Another fan wrote, “I’m so excited to finally be able to vote because I can’t think of anyone who deserves it more.
“We should start a hashtag for this #SwiftiesForPresidentTaylor.”

The messages angered many of Taylor’s more liberal fans, who felt the votes could be put to better use if they went to Kamala.
“This is such a brain rotten thing to do, Jesus fucking Christ. Wasting your vote is the stupidest thing you can do besides blind loyalty to someone who isn’t in politics,” one person raged.
“I really hope this is a joke and even if it is, it’s not even funny considering the rights of over half of this fanbase are at stake,” a second snapped.
“Thank you for putting a vote in Trump’s pocket. Because that’s all,” a third added.
A fourth wrote: ‘This is actually disgusting. The people who died for us to vote, what a shame and just selfish.”
DailyMail.com has contacted Taylor’s representatives for comment.
Taylor dramatically endorsed Kamala shortly after the presidential debate in September.
Fans online were furious, fearing that Swifties wasting their votes on Taylor could lead to a victory for Donald Trump
She poked fun at Republicans in her endorsement by including a photo of her cat — a blow at Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance who mocked “childless cat ladies.”
“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election,” she wrote.
She signed her post “childless cat lady.”
In addition to Taylor, Kamala has hosted a slew of celebrity hosts including Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Billie Eilish and Rosie O’Donnell.
Meanwhile, Trump has received support from Amber Rose, Kid Rock, Hulk Hogan and Rob Schneider.
