Taylor Swift fans are furious over Ticketmaster glitch after they are denied entry at Anfield stadium: ‘What a joke’

Taylor Swift fans were furious after they were refused entry to the Liverpool Eras gig at Anfield Stadium on Friday.

One attendee, Jessica, was left upset by the denial, which appeared to be due to a Ticketmaster issue where the company appeared to have sold too many tickets.

She posted a video to her TikTok, which quickly received more than 40,000 views.

She said to the camera: ‘Just outside the stadium and we’re not being let in because apparently Ticketmaster has sold duplicate tickets. Anyone else with the same problem? Not good Ticketmaster, not good. ‘

She added: “We missed a lot of the first songs and there are a lot of people before us who have the same problem and are crying now. It is not good. What a joke.’

Dressed in a colorful outfit, fan Jessica was seen outside the stadium with a large crowd behind and around her, showing viewers that she was not alone in that situation.

At the top of her video she writes the words: ‘Not being allowed in because Ticketmaster screwed up royally..’

In her comments section, Jessica reiterated the severity of the situation, saying, “It was seeing the kids crying… it was completely heartbreaking!”

Fellow Taylor Swift supporters advised her to sign back in and out, but she updated her followers, saying, “Our seats were gone! They have completely doubled turnover.’

One user said: ‘I was standing outside the stadium and saw this happen. Honestly, I’m so sorry this happened to you!’

Streams of followers commented under the video saying the same things seemed to be happening to them: “So I have four tickets and on my app two of them have the same seat number?”

‘We had this problem. It said I had 8 tickets, but only had 4 and one was already used!’ before adding: “Luckily they let us in.”

Another said: ‘I think it’s an issue with Ticketmaster at the moment. There are also some of my events that show up as duplicate tickets. I’m so sorry this happened to you, I hope they make up for it.”

This isn’t the first time Anfield Stadium has had a problem with the Taylor Swift tour.

On Thursday a fan was left reeling after selling VIP tickets worth £660 but was left with ‘limited vision’.

The contestant also posted a video to TikTok, panning the camera around the stadium and showing viewers what she could see, which was mainly a large tent and technical equipment blocking the stage.

The video quickly racked up more than half a million views, but the superfan was eventually moved to some press room seats.

At the performance, Taylor, 34, praised the efforts of thousands of fans who braved the rain to see her perform during the first of three performances at Anfield Stadium for the 100th show of her Eras Tour.

The American superstar performed in front of a crowd of 53,000 at Liverpool FC Stadium, breaking the all-time attendance record for the arena.

It comes after Taylor revealed The Eras Tour will officially end in December when she took to the stage in Liverpool.

During the show, Taylor announced that the Eras Tour would officially end in December after raking in millions of pounds, breaking a string of records and even causing earthquakes.

Addressing the crowd, the superstar said: “This is the very first time I have acknowledged to myself and admitted that this tour ends in December.”

Speculation was rife that Taylor would make a big announcement during Thursday’s show, with many fan theories gaining traction on social media ahead of the performance.

The fact that it was the historic 100th show coincided with the fact that it was June 13, which many sleuthing Swifties took as a sign.

Taylor’s lucky number is the famous 13 and it has become a symbol among her fanbase, who often write the number on the back of their hands when attending her shows.
