Ouch! Taylor Swift Explains How She Lost A ‘Piece’ Out Of Her Hand While Performing In Houston — After Fans Noticed A Nasty Injury On Eras Tour
Taylor Swift assured her fans on Monday that she is fine after noticing a nasty injury to the singer’s left hand over the weekend.
The 33-year-old pop star – who recently joined her close friends Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds for dinner in NYC – explained via Twitter that she was “completely fine” after one TikTok went viral showing that a “lump” was missing from her left palm.
The footage was captured during Taylor’s performance in Houston, Texas, where she just wrapped up three sold-out concerts for her blockbuster Eras Tour.
The 12-time Grammy winner started her tweet on a positive note, writing, “Just played three insane shows in Houston and I wake up laughing thinking about how much fun we all had.”
She went on to explain that she accidentally cut her hand after tripping over the hem of her dress during a frantic costume change backstage.

Yuck: The pop star took to Twitter to say she was “completely fine” after a TikTok went viral showing a “lump” was missing from her left palm. The footage was captured during Taylor’s performance in Houston, Texas, where she just wrapped up three sold-out concerts for her blockbuster Eras Tour.
The Bad Blood singer wrote, “I love this tour so much because of the passion these crowds put into it – I honestly can’t wait for Atlanta.
‘PS for those asking how I cut my hand I’m totally fine and it was entirely my fault – tripped on the hem of my dress and fell into the dark behind the scenes while running for a quick change – put hold my fall with my palm.’
Referring to her passion for astrology, Swift added, “It was all very Mercury encoded in retrograde. Don’t worry about me, I’m good.’
Relief and well wishes filled her comment section as the love poured in from Taylor’s massive fanbase.
One Swifty wrote, “Girl stay safe WE LOVE YOUUUUU,” while another commented, “Glad you’re alright.” We were all concerned.’
The superstar’s Eras Tour shows no signs of slowing down as she will perform three performances this weekend in Atlanta, Georgia.
This latest bit of bad luck comes on the heels of her shock split with British actor Joe Alwyn, 32 – which sparked rumors of a recovery over the weekend when he was spotted with his co-star Emma Laird.
Swift and Alwyn reportedly split earlier this month after six years together ET claiming that their split was “undramatic.”

Recent heartbreak: This latest bit of bad luck comes on the heels of her shock split from British actor Joe Alwyn, 32. The couple reportedly split earlier this month after six years together; pictured in 2019
“The relationship had just run its course. It’s why [Alwyn] hasn’t been spotted on any show,” the insider added, with Page Six claiming the pair split “a few weeks ago.”
But Swift’s inner circle doesn’t seem to be so amicable when it comes to their opinions of Alwyn, as her close friends — including her brother Gigi Hadid and the Haim sisters — have all unfollowed her former flame on social media.
Even Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds both left Alwyn on Instagram after their dinner with Taylor in Manhattan last week.
And the Boy Erased star looked rather desolate on a solo walk in London that same day.
