Taylor Swift choked back tears after fans chanted her name during her final performance in Liverpool on Saturday, after ex-boyfriend of six years Joe Alwyn finally broken his silence about their split.
Midway through the show, the American superstar, 34, wore a flowing red dress to perform Champagne Problems before being visibly overwhelmed by the reaction from the 60,000 crowd at Anfield Stadium.
After performing the song, which she co-wrote with ex Joe on her 2020 album Evermore, the crowd chanted her name and Taylor removed her earpiece so she could fully appreciate the moment.
Saying, ‘It’s really such an honor to play in front of such an audience that you would want to do something like that for us.’
Before you shout: ‘I love you so much, Liverpool, thank you!’.

Taylor, who marked her 100th performance of the tour this week, also delighted fans with a new edition of Surprise Songs, in which she chooses songs to sing acoustically.
She played a mash-up of Carolina and No Body No Crime and also a mash-up of The Manuscript and Red.
Taylor will continue the Eras Tour in Cardiff on Tuesday before performing in London from June 21 to 23.
It comes after English actor Joe, 33, finally opened up about their split, 14 months after it was revealed.
He told The Sunday Times style. “As everyone knows, we have decided together – both of us mutually – to keep the more private details of our relationship private.
“It was never something to commercialize and I see no reason to change that now.”
Joe continued, “And look, this has also been a little over a year now and I feel fortunate to be in a great place in my life, both professionally and personally. I feel really good.’
When asked if he had listened to Taylor’s latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, Joe said, “When I think about what I was going to say, I would think and hope that everyone can relate.

Her only comments come through song, with several songs on The Tortured Poets Department believed to be about Joe.
In one song, LOML, Taylor heartbreakingly sings, “I wish we could remember how we had almost everything….”
The American pop superstar also performed at the 60,000-capacity Anfield stadium on Thursday and Friday

On Friday was Taylor’s Surprise Song This Is What You Came For, performed by Rihanna but co-written by her and her ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris.
Taylor introduced the song: “Every time I have an acoustic set, I always try to think of things that you might want to hear – maybe things that might be a little bit unexpected.
“Let’s see how we did tonight.”
She performed the song as a mashup with her song “Gold Rush” from her 2020 album Evermore.
