Taylor Swift is very positive about Post Malone and his new studio album F-1 Trillion. This is already the sixth album of his legendary career.
It was the pop superstar’s younger brother, Austin Swift, who first introduced her to some songs from his new album while she was filming the music video for the lead single from her 2024 album The Tortured Poets Department.
“I was lucky enough to hear this amazing music on set of the Fortnight video when Austin played it for me,” Swift, 34, captioned a photo of herself on set with Malone, 29.
“It’s incredible how versatile his artistry is,” she added, before complimenting him on a more personal level. “And [he’s] “Just the most down-to-earth guy there is.”
The Anti-Hero singer, who Rob Lowe says is much more famous than he was in his ’80s heyday, also included a link to stream F-1 Trillion in her post.
Taylor Swift shared some words of praise for Post Malone’s new studio album F-1 Trillion, as well as the musician himself
And it turns out Malone’s F-1 Trillion was already on its way to number one when Swift heaped praise on his new music.
“Post Malone’s F-1 Trillion is expected to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 with 200,000-225,000 copies sold. (via HITSDD),” Pop Base announced on X (formerly known as Twitter) Friday afternoon, a little over a day after its official release.
The road to the release of F-1 Trillion began with the release of the lead single, I Had Some Help, featuring country singer Morgan Wallen.
The song would eventually top the Billboard Hot 100 chart with the highest weekly sales and streams since 2020, giving Malone his sixth No. 1 hit.
Since then he has released the following singles: Pour Me A Drink and Guy For That.
It turns out that Malone has been working on the new music in Nashville for months, collaborating with many of the best country music Music City has to offer, according to Billboard.
In addition to the duet with Morgan Wallen on lead single I Had Some Help, F-1 Trillion also features the Blake Shelton collaboration Pour Me A Drink, which peaked at #14 on the Country Airplay chart.
Malone’s new record also features artists such as Luke Combs, Dolly Parton, Jelly Roll, Tim McGraw, Ernest, Hank Williams Jr., Lainey Wilson, Brad Paisley, Sierra Ferrell, HARDY and Chris Stapleton.
In April, Malone (born Austin Richard Post) thanked Swift on Instagram for opening up to him and letting him enter her world as a collaborator on her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department.
“It’s a once in a lifetime experience for someone like @taylorswift to come into the world,” the Syracuse, New York, native wrote. “I am overwhelmed by your heart and spirit and feel beyond honored to be able to help you on your journey. I love you so much. Thank you Tay.”
Swift shared her compliments about Post Malone, along with a photo taken during the filming of the music video for their collaboration on Fortnight
F-1 Trillion, the Pennsylvania native’s sixth studio album, was released on August 16 via Republic and Mercury Records
In a sign of more good things to come, Pop Base reports that the F-1 Trillion is expected to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 200-225,000 units sold
As recently as April of this year, Malone called Swift a “once in a lifetime” artist when he thanked her for bringing him into her world with the collaboration Fortnight
Malone then revealed how “honored” he was to work with the Shake It Off star
Fortnight debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100 with the second-highest one-week streaming figure since 2020, marking Swift’s twelfth and Malone’s fifth number-one song
Swift previously tapped Malone to collaborate on the song Fortnight, which the two stars co-wrote with Jack Antonoff, her frequent producer and songwriting partner.
Fortnight debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100 with the song’s second-highest one-week streaming numbers since 2020. It was Swift’s twelfth and Malone’s fifth No. 1 hit.
Tortured Poets has since reached the No. 1 position on the Billboard 200 chart for a record 14 non-consecutive weeks following its April 19 release.
Like Post Malone, Taylor Swift also has her own country roots. She started her career as a more country pop singer with her first two studio albums Taylor Swift (2006) and Fearless (2008).
