Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce: Pop star’s parents ‘CANCEL plans to meet the tight end’s family for first time at Eagles-Chiefs showdown’ with the  singer unable to attend due to rescheduled Eras Tour in Brazil

Taylor Swift’s parents will not be at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday after checking their plans to meet her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s family, according to a report.

The pop star, 33, will not attend her NFL beau and the Chiefs’ Super Bowl rematch against the Philadelphia Eagles – her childhood team – after rescheduling one of her Ears Tour shows from Saturday to Monday night in Rio de Janeiro due to extreme conditions. heat – after a fan died ahead of her concert on Friday.

And her parents, Andrea and Scott Swift, will also be absent, despite initial reports that they planned to see their daughter’s boyfriend in action, according to TMZ.

It would be the Swifts’ first time attending Kelce’s game and they will reportedly meet his parents, Donna and Ed Kelce, marking a big step in his blossoming romance with the pop superstar.

But since the singer couldn’t attend due to her rescheduled show, her parents reportedly decided it “didn’t make sense” for them to meet the Kelces without her gift.

Monday Night Football will relive last season’s Super Bowl as the Chiefs and Eagles face off at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

It’s a big game in the Kelce household as the two Kelce brothers face off again in Week 11, with Travis and the Chiefs taking on his brother Jason and Philadelphia.

Despite the Love Story singer and her parents not being able to connect with Donna and Ed in Arrowhead, the two families are reportedly still confident they can spend Thanksgiving together.

According to TMZLater this week, the families were able to gather for Thanksgiving at Travis’ new $6 million home in Kansas City.

TMZ adds that Travis and Taylor are still figuring out how to celebrate Christmas together, with the Kelce and Chiefs playing the Raiders in Kansas City on Christmas Day.

Travis splashed out on the luxury property last month because he wanted extra privacy.

The mansion has a swimming pool, a waterfall and a mini golf course – enough to entertain the many guests it seems to welcome.

Donna and Taylor have met before: the first time Taylor was at a Chiefs game, she stood next to Donna in the Kelce suite at Arrowhead Stadium.

Scott and Travis have also met before – and were spotted together at one of Taylor’s shows in Buenos Aires, Argentina, earlier this month.

“He’s a huge football guy, he played college ball. I think a year in Hawaii and then a year or two – I forget how long she was there – in Delaware,” Kelce revealed about Swift’s father on the brothers’ New heights podcast.

“I think he was a linebacker turned center…he’s a tall guy, about 6-foot-4.”

Jason Kelce, one of the most high-profile centers in pro football, responded, “We’re going to have to get together one day and talk about a center thing.”

It could have been an interesting game for the Swifts as their allegiance for the Monday Night Football game is unclear.

Swift grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia before moving to Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 14. He is a well-known Eagles fan and was spotted wearing the team’s sweatshirt as recently as June.

The 12-time Grammy Award winner even references the NFL franchise in her song Gold Rush from the Evermore album, in which she sings “Eagles t-shirt hanging from the door.”

The Anti-Hero hitmaker’s father is also a huge NFL fan with Chiefs head coach Andy Reid previously coaching Philadelphia from 1999 to 2012, drafting older Kelce brother Jason in 2011 and revealing last month that he had signed Scott and had met the singer when she was growing up.

Appears on OutKick’s The Five Spot with Donovan McNabb in October, Reid revealed that his relationship with Swift and her family goes back a long way.

He said to McNabb, “You know what? Like you, I knew her from Philadelphia. You know, her dad is a big NFL fan, so I had met her and her dad when she was really young. So, you know, I was joking about trapping Kelce, but you know, I’m just saying, you know what.’

Jason’s Eagles team has the best record in the NFL as it stands, at 8-1, but Travis and the Chiefs are not far back at 7-2.
