Taylor Swift and NFL fans unite to mock Clay Travis and Skip Bayless for blaming the singer for the Chiefs losing and distracting Travis Kelce: ‘Never realized T Swift was wide receiver coach!’

Football fans and Taylor Swift's massive fan base have united to reject analysts' suggestions that the singer is partially responsible for the Chiefs' recent NFL struggles.

Swift's friend Travis Kelce and his Kansas City team have failed to recapture the form that won them last year's Super Bowl, with their misery compounded by a miserable 20-14 defeat at Arrowhead Stadium to the Las Vegas Raiders on first Christmas Day.

The Chiefs gave up two touchdowns in seven seconds, with the Raiders running into a mix-up between Isiah Pacheco and quarterback Patrick Mahomes for the first time before Jack Jones' pick-six moments later when he intercepted a Mahomes throw.

Frustration also got the better of Kelce, as he was caught on camera slamming his helmet into the ground before his coach, Andy Reid, shoved him in the back and tried to get him to focus again.

But according to Undisputed host Skip Bayless and OutKick founder Clay Travis, the extra attention on the Chiefs that comes with Kelce dating Swift is causing the season to fall apart.

Travis took to Twitter on Christmas Day after the Chiefs loss and wrote, “The Chiefs are not a good football team and Travis Kelce looks like he should retire.

'He's been useless for the last seven or eight weeks. The double-crappy Pfizer shots may have caught up with him. That or Taylor Swift is the Chiefs Yoko Ono. Maybe both.'

Bayless, meanwhile, tweeted around the same time, saying, “Feels like it's time to call Taylor Swift a distraction. What do you think, Patrick? Andy? What about you, Travis?”

But both claims were met with derision from NFL fans and Swift's own supporters, as the Chiefs clearly have issues on the field, rather than in the stands, that clearly need to be addressed.

Bayless doubled down on the claims on Undisputed on Tuesday, saying it's “a lot of things on top of the fights you face on the field.”

One fan commented on the clip on What? She's not a coach? Is she a friend of one of the players? Then it has nothing to do with her, you weird, misogynistic idiots.”

Another said: 'Ah yes, this is why *checks notes* THE TEAM'S LEADING PASS CATCHER is distracted. Understood. Not Nagy, not an inept WR coach, a low barrel WR room. It's Taylor soon. Understood.'

One user responded directly to Bayliss, saying, “The offensive line allows Mahomes to be sacked 4 times and hit 10 times. And the NFL analyst thinks it's Taylor Swift's fault?

'Listen to the post-match press conference. There are plenty of reasons given for the loss. No name Swift. The coach and the team take responsibility.'

Outkick founder Travis also had many social media users questioning his post.

One said, “Mahomes hands the ball over twice and this is somehow Kelce's fault and Swift's fault.”

Another told Travis: “There's no chance you actually believe this. You just say what you think should be done.'

Another response read, “Or the Chiefs offensive line isn't giving Mahomes any time and Kelce is getting double-teamed because they don't have any receivers.”

The Chiefs return to action on New Year's Eve at Arrowhead Stadium, taking on the Cincinnati Bengals with a chance to silence their critics.

The loss to the Christmas Day Raiders leaves the team at 9-6 on the campaign with two regular season games remaining.

Kelce and Co wrap up the regular season against the Los Angeles Chargers on January 7.
