Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes appeared to keep their distance again Monday night at Arrowhead Stadium after being nearly inseparable at Chiefs games last season.
Swift and Mahomes have endorsed several candidates in recent weeks for next month’s presidential election. Mahomes has made no secret of her desire for Donald Trump to win, while Swift has publicly supported Kamala Harris.
Footage emerged on social media showing them hugging before the game started before going their separate ways. But after watching so many games together last year during the Chiefs’ run to Super Bowl glory, this time they still have to sit together and cheer on the team.
Swift was spotted at her first Chiefs game in over two weeks sitting with her dad, Scott, Kelce’s dad Ed and Kylie Kelce, the wife of Travis’ brother Jason, as well as some of Travis’ friends. Brittany wasn’t seen with them, despite watching multiple Chiefs games with Swift last season, both at Arrowhead and on the road.
The Chiefs quarterback’s pregnant wife shared a photo of the gameday outfit on Instagram before the game, wearing a red leather jacket and pants.

Swift and Mahomes also split in the opening game of the season, when the Chiefs hosted the Baltimore Ravens.
That evening, Swift took her usual spot in Kelce’s luxury suite, next to the tight end’s family and friends. She was captured in the first half sitting next to Kelce’s parents, Ed and Donna.
Mahomes, meanwhile, sat in another suite with her daughter Sterling Skye as she cheered on her husband.
Shortly after that matchup, Swift endorsed Kamala Harris in next month’s election with a statement that directly contradicted her friend Brittany, who had liked several social media posts and comments in support of a Donald Trump win.
It caught the attention of Trump himself, who wrote on Truth Social: “I want to thank the beautiful Brittany Mahomes for defending me so vigorously, and for making MAGA the largest and most powerful political movement in the history of our now failing country. .’
Mahomes and Swift bonded last season, often watching Chiefs games together, both in Kansas City and on the road.
For one game last October against the Los Angeles Chargers, they even seemed to plan a celebratory handshake for when the Chiefs scored a touchdown.
It made the distance between them at the Ravens game all the more striking. But the next week, Kelce, Swift and the Mahomes were all in a box together for the men’s final of the US Open in New York.
Despite their apparent political differences, sources recently revealed to DailyMail.com that Taylor and Brittany took specific steps to protect their friendship, even as fans predicted a huge fallout after her support for Trump became public.
