Tatyana Remley arrested for ‘hiring friend to kill estranged husband Mark Remley in $2 million murder-for-hire plot

A glamorous California horseman is accused of trying to kill her estranged millionaire husband in a hitman plot after a court ordered her to cut her spending from $50,000 a month.

Tatyana Remley, 42, was taken into custody at a Starbucks in Solano Beach on Aug. 2 by the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department for the conspiracy to kill Mark Remley.

Tatyana, who filed for divorce in May, is accused of offering a mutual friend $2 million to kill Mark, her 12-year-old husband. The friend later informed Mark of her plan.

Local reports indicate that the couple, who were behind the doomed acrobatic equestrian show Valitar, had a volatile history filled with previous unfollowed divorce filings and allegations of abuse.

Mark claims she set fire to their $5 million home on Rancho Reposo in posh Del Mar just days after she allegedly tried to kill him.

According to her lawyer, Tatjana was struggling financially after being ordered to cut her expenses to $12,000 a month as part of their divorce settlement.

In July, Tatyana’s lawyer, Tiffany Brown, outlined her client’s financial problems in a divorce filing.

Woman experiences extreme financial pressure. She is unable to sustain her realistic monthly expenses of just $12,000, much less than what she was used to at $50,000,” the filing said.

“She has no income and does not have the same access to funds and assets as the defendant.”

In desperation, Tatyana reportedly turned to a mutual friend to help her rectify her situation.

Mark eventually took his concerns about his estranged wife’s request to the police, who then arrested her after a sting operation, according to The Coastal News.

The exact details of how Tatyana – who has Mark’s name tattooed on her stomach – requested his death have not been shared by police at this time.

In addition to an incitement to murder charge, she faces two gun charges: carrying and concealing firearms not registered to her name in a vehicle and carrying a loaded firearm in a public place not registered to her name.

The first is a crime, the second a crime.

Tatyana pleaded not guilty to all charges on August 4. Her bail was rejected by a judge.

If found guilty of the solicitation charge, she could face up to nine years in prison.

The gun misdemeanor charge could add an additional year to that sentence.

Remley and her husband had founded several failed businesses over the years, including an indoor cycling studio called Rhythm and Power

The couple reportedly had an intense relationship full of ups, including luxury homes and vacations, and downs like volatile fights and divorce filings.

They first tied the knot in 2011 and have broken up and reconciled numerous times over the course of a decade.

Tatyana testified in court documents that she had unlimited access to credit cards, up to $50.00 a month, and beautiful properties in California and Hawaii.

After their most recent divorce, she asked the court to allow her to pay an additional $15,000 a month in spousal support.

Tatjana also requested exclusive access to their Del Mar home, two trucks, a horse trailer, and other belongings and pets.

Her attorney argued that she could not handle her new more frugal lifestyle as the couple often spent $30,000 in one night.

She also appreciated that her husband had more than $1 million worth of luxury vehicles, including two Rolls Royce cars.

Mark also has more than $8 million in assets he could sell to support her, she claimed.

She also made alarming allegations of abuse in her files, including one story about them being held at gunpoint and another about being chased around their house with a knife.

Tatjana also accused him of being present when she was attacked at gunpoint by a friend of his.

Mark told The Coast News that the stories in her petition are false.

The couple made headlines a decade ago when they opened a “horse-man acrobatics show” at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in 2012, known as Valitar.

In July, the Del Mar Fire Department responded to a fire at their home in the 4600 block of Rancho Reposo, which Mark said was caused by Tatyana.

Fire officials confirmed to The Coast News that the interior of the home had been reduced to ash by the fire and the cause of the blaze is still under investigation.

In a divorce document, Tatyana said she was present when the fire broke out, but she did not know how the fire started.

The show was abruptly closed and the company soon faced lawsuits from suppliers.

In 2015, the pair opened a cycling studio called Rhythm and Power, which closed for unknown reasons the following year.
