Tattooed Eagles superfan gives update on his condition after catastrophic chest-bump with Jason Kelce saw him limp off stage in Philadelphia

The Eagles superfan who injured his knee in a chest-to-chest collision with Jason Kelce gave an update on his condition following the accident.

Kelce, who retired from the NFL in March, returned to the home of the Eagles as an analyst for ESPN’s Monday Night Football. While enjoying the pre-game festivities, Kelce and Rob Dunphy decided to chest bump each other onstage before the latter hurt his knee landing.

On Tuesday night, Dunphy posted on social media that he had gotten some x-rays and the results were, “Man the f*** up.” Dunphy also added that he hopes to get an MRI in a few days, but that he will be on crutches in the meantime.

“My knee has seen better days, but I’m in good spirits,” Dunphy said. “I’m just a little banged up, but I’ll be fine. It’s not the end of the world.”

“My X-rays came back and basically said, ‘Man, damn it,’” he added.

The tattooed fan said several people reached out to him after the chest bump, including the future Hall of Famer.

“Jason Kelce reached out,” Dunphy said. “Jason Kelce is the guy. His whole team is great.”

Despite the injury, Dunphy said he was grateful for the experience and said he would do it again.

“They’re helping me make every Eagles fan’s dream come true,” he said. “I can’t thank them enough. It’s really cool. It’s awesome, to be honest. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.”

Kelce, who was also seen dancing and throwing beer cans at fans during the festivities, denied drinking during Monday Night Countdown.

He added that despite throwing away about 100 beers, he hadn’t consumed a single one. Kelce acknowledged, however, how difficult it is to resist temptation.

“Do you know how hard that was?” he asked, adding, “I’m a professional, Travis. I don’t do bullshit.”

Still, Kelce gave the superfan a life-changing memory, while the rest of the fan base made sure he stayed in good shape.

“It’s pretty cool that the Eagles fan base is showing me love,” Dunphy said. “Philly is showing me love. It’s pretty cool.”
