A couple who filmed themselves having sex on the grave of a famous artist have been arrested and charged with numerous crimes for their bizarre act.

Tasmanian police arrested a woman, 57, and a man, 54, both from the southern island state, on Wednesday after videos of their sexual acts were posted online.

Both have been charged with crimes of bestiality and carrying out ‘prohibited activities in a cemetery’.

They will appear at Hobart Magistrates Court at a later date, according to a statement.

One person who saw the footage said they hoped Chapman’s family was aware of what had been done at his burial site.

A separate video surfaced of the couple using a fish to perform a sexual act on each other.

‘This is how you catch a trout,’ the man is heard saying.

In a statement, Tasmanian Police warned that “it is an offense to possess or distribute the bestiality-related video.”

The maximum penalty for production and dissemination of bestiality material could be up to two years in prison and one year for possession.
