“I’d like to watch this video to learn more about my cochlear implant and he’s really doing his research and getting really involved and it’s so much fun because it’s such a big part of me.”
Last week Andrew surprised Tasha by getting a personalized tattoo in tribute to her.
The reality star received an ink from a hand that signed “I love you” in British sign language and held Tasha’s cochlear implant.
Tasha revealed she cried when she saw it and said it showed the depth of their love for each other.
‘Superpower’: The Love Island star, 24, who is deaf, gushed about her ‘amazing’ partner, 27, and how much effort he puts into understanding her ‘superpower’.
She said, “So he told me he was getting a tattoo and I was like what do you get and he said, “I’m not telling you!”
“But he came home and surprised me with it and I didn’t expect it. I started to cry because no one has ever done that for me before and it just goes to show how much we love each other and how much of a great person he is. He really is a great person.’
She also discussed the possibility of following in the footsteps of Love Island winners Ekin-Su and Davide and doing a TV show together, saying, ‘We’d love to have our own TV show, if the opportunity arises! ‘
The couple have grown stronger since they left the villa and even moved into a flat in London last month, which has made them even “stronger and closer” according to Tasha.

She explained: “Living together has been so good so far, we’ve both invested so much to make the flat our home.
“And it’s so nice to come home and have a little hug and watch movies and cook together. We both have some bad habits, but every relationship has that.
“We’re so busy that it’s nice to come home together at the end of the day. It makes our time so much more special. It’s nice to have that time apart and then come back together and it makes us stronger and closer.’
Opportunity: She also discussed the possibility of following in Ekin-Su and Davide’s footsteps and doing a TV show together, saying, “We’d love to have our own TV show, if the opportunity arises!”
Tasha fired fans who feel the couple moved in too early, saying the timing “felt right.”
She said, “I don’t waste my time trying to prove people wrong because they don’t know our relationship privately. All that matters is me and Andrew.
“I don’t think you’ll get it until you’ve been to the villa. You know, you’re in the same bed and you don’t have any phones, you get so close and you connect emotionally on some level.
“I think coming out of me and Andrew said we stay true to ourselves and go with how we feel, that’s all that matters, no one else’s opinion. It felt good.’
Going strong: The pair have gone from strength to strength since they left the villa and even moved into a flat in London together last month, which Tasha says has made them even ‘stronger and closer’
When they got off such a big show, Tasha said their relationship hadn’t changed, but being away from the cameras had given them more “freedom.”
She said: ‘It takes the pressure off because you don’t have it in your head, you’re always being filmed. It’s also intense, so it’s abated from that intensity and we can now relax and talk about anything we want to talk about. So it’s nice to have that freedom.’
Talking about coping with her newfound fame, she added: “Because we’ve gotten so much love and support, it’s been so beautiful. But sometimes it can be a little overwhelming, because in a way it’s a whole new world, and you don’t know what to expect when you come out, you don’t have your phones or anything.
“For me and Andrew, we’ve supported each other and everyone has been so supportive of me and that’s why I enjoy it every day. It’s been a whirlwind, but in the best possible way.’

About participating in the campaign, Tasha said: ‘For me personally, I am very passionate about a campaign like this. It’s all about shining a light on SignKid. He is all about building a bridge between the deaf world and the hearing world and making art more accessible.
“It’s about people stopping and looking at it and seeing that a little bit of BSL goes a long way. And that’s why I thought I’d like to be a part of this campaign, because it’s so important to use my voice for things that matter.’

Tasha has become a role model for others by proudly showing off her cochlear implant and is determined to normalize disabilities.
She said, “I get very nervous because I feel like I don’t want to let people down. I want to make sure my voice is heard, I want to make sure I speak on behalf of my people.
“I think it’s more nerves than anything, but I like doing it because I’m so passionate about it. There’s a fire in my belly and I was born to do things like this.’
Tasha said she hopes she has paved the way for Love Island to grow more disabled islanders.

She said: “I really hope Love Island continueses this momentum because I think it’s so important to have that TV representation of people with superpowers. Because everyone can find love, that’s what matters.
“I really hope they continue this momentum because it has had such a huge impact. Like girls with cochlear implants look up and think I can find love, so is Tasha on TV. That’s so great, because that’s how it should be, it should be normal.’
Tasha says she ignores negative comments and chooses to focus on the “love,” saying the negativity just pushes her harder.
She explained: ‘I’m real, I don’t really see any negative comments. I don’t go looking for it, I focus on the good, the positivity and the love around me.
“The negativity gives me more motivation, gives me more fire. I thank them in a way because it’s like you’re just forcing me to work harder.’
However, she is very selective about the projects she works on and says she is not motivated by money.
Tasha said: ‘With me, I choose things that make sense and that I am passionate about. I don’t pick things that have the most money, or just the best deal. I want to go for something that makes me happy.
“Until now, the opportunities I got felt like organic. I’m just having fun with it now.’
