The AFL star’s girlfriend, Tarryn Thomas, has insisted he is “not in an abusive relationship” after the North Melbourne player received explosive allegations that he abused and threatened multiple women.

In a subsequent post, Coppedge lashed out at trolls who were using “fake accounts” to send him “extremely rude and nasty messages,” writing: “If you don’t have the balls to say it on your real accounts, don’t message me.”

North Melbourne initially backed the star when some of the allegations came to light after he was accused of threatening to distribute an intimate image in a separate incident.

Coppedge asked people to leave her alone in her first post, and used a second post to blast trolls who have used fake accounts to send her “extremely rude and nasty messages.”

Kangaroos president Sonja Hood wrote an open letter Wednesday to address the “serious and conflicting allegations” and vowed to support him.

But that night the club backed down after a new allegation came to light.

“Tarryn Thomas will be absent from the club after the AFL Integrity Unit informed North Melbourne of a new allegation of inappropriate behavior on Wednesday afternoon,” the team statement read.

He continued: “In the meantime, Thomas is expected to fulfill his obligations around his respectful behavior education and training program.”

The woman who made the latest accusation said he “got really mean very quickly.”

Coppedge’s message of support came after a woman reportedly accused Thomas of throwing a lamp at her in a hotel room, and another woman accused him of “getting really mean really fast.”

Another woman reportedly told friends: “I’m too scared… I know he’s going to kill me.”

Another woman revealed how the soccer player sent other people intimate photos that he had taken of her.

Hood also gave insight into the past and present programs put in place by the club since Thomas’ past indiscretions came to light.
