Target shoppers return Blake Lively’s hair products amid drama with It Ends With Us star Justin Baldoni: ‘Not worth 20 bucks’
While ‘It Ends With Us’ star Blake Lively continues to come under fire for her controversial promotions, TikTokers are starting to reveal their true opinions on her new haircare line.
In early July, Lively, 36, launched her own brand Blake Brown, which she’s been working on for seven years and is available exclusively at Target and on her website.
The hair care line includes two types of shampoos: a dry shampoo and a hair mask.
According to the products’ description, “it leaves hair feeling manageable, soft and visibly shiny” and they are “free from SLS/SLES, silicones or parabens.”
Many reviewers share their experiences with Blake Brown via the video app. One of them indicated that the shampoo is returned by most customers.

Kate Perry, a TikTokker, recently told her followers that a “cool teen who worked in customer service at Target” told her that everyone was coming back with their Blake Brown products.
“This is a public service announcement: I want everyone to know that the cool kid who worked in customer service at Target told me that everyone is returning Blake Brown hair products.
“She said that shit ain’t worth $20,” she said.
After the video went viral and was viewed nearly two million times, Perry went into detail about what happened just before the teen revealed the situation in another video.
“I wanted to return something and I saw the bottle of shampoo on the counter. I thought, ‘Oh, is that what I smell?’ And she said, ‘Yeah, but everyone returns it.'”

Other TikTokers are also dissatisfied with the product, especially the bulky packaging.
Emma Nacewicz, reviewer and entrepreneur, said the “packaging looks beautiful, but it’s not functional.”
‘First of all, it takes up a lot of space. It’s inconvenient. Then you have to use two hands to unscrew it, put the cap on, use both hands [to pour].
“It’s not just a ‘pump and go’ or a ‘squeeze and go’. It’s honestly just annoying to have this top like this,” she told viewers as she held the shampoo in her hand.
She also noted that as a “dry shampoo fan who has tried them all,” Blake Brown’s dry shampoo is not what the brand claims it to be, but rather a “texturizing shampoo.”
“First of all, it doesn’t even degrease my hair. It just makes it sticky. It’s great as a texturizing spray. But you have to wash your hair the next day because it’s just stuck. It makes your hair sticky,” Nacewicz explained.

The reviews come as Lively, who rose to fame as Serena van der Woodsen on Gossip Girl, is facing mounting criticism for her on-camera diva behavior, with more and more shocking interviews surfacing in the Internet archives.
Lively, who has children James, Inez, Betty and Olin with fellow A-lister Ryan Reynolds, first saw her status as half of Hollywood’s couple tarnished during her current press tour promoting her latest film, It Ends with Us.
While there have been plenty of positive moments during the star’s recent publicity campaign – such as tearful moments when he met Spice Girl Emma Bunton on Heart FM and thanking Capital FM DJ Kemi Rodgers after surprising her with a message from Reynolds – there have also been moments that have likely given the film’s PR department some sleepless nights.
It Ends with Us, based on the book of the same name by Colleen Hoover, follows the story of Lily Bloom, played by Lively, who becomes embroiled in an abusive relationship with a man named Ryle Kincaid, played by Justin Baldoni.
But serious topics seemed to be the last thing on Lively and her castmates Jenny Slate and Isabela Ferrer’s minds when they sat down with author Hoover to discuss the film in early August.

Lively, who has been described as “toneless,” has since faced a major investigation, with interviews revealing that behavior that some who have witnessed it have labeled as “mean” continues to surface.
Onlookers accused the foursome of coming across as “airy-fairy”; the four women giggled with each other as they discussed everything from their dream jobs to their star signs, but there was not a word about domestic violence during the conversation.
Social media users were quick to attack them – particularly Lively, who hosted the interview – for filling out the lighthearted questionnaire, given the serious nature of the film, and for not addressing the topic.
She directed her followers to a series of links, including a hotline for victims of domestic violence, as well as statistics and other information.
“Everyone deserves relationships free of domestic violence,” she wrote.
Lively has been under close surveillance ever since, as he has been deaf to the tone. Interviews reveal that he still acts like someone who has seen him and is therefore ‘mean’.
