A North Carolina man accused of making an upskirt video of a Target customer has been photographed with his girlfriend as his victim breaks her silence.

Thomas Ryan Elliott, 21, was arrested Monday at a store in Greenville after he was caught crouching next to a woman wearing a skirt.

He was seen on camera putting his cell phone on the ground to record the video of the woman’s black outfit.

In an interview with Wit WHITEthe unidentified victim recalled the disturbing moment she realized she was being recorded.

“No matter how much you try to think you’ll be prepared for it, it throws you for a loop when it actually happens,” she said.

She recalled the moment she realized the suspect seemed to be hovering suspiciously near her.

“I decided to get up and go there, but at that point I stopped focusing on what I was trying to buy,” the woman said.

“I was more distracted by him still walking around the area.” When she moved, the suspect crouched behind her and placed his phone under her skirt, according to the victim.

Another person shopping at Target began filming him after she began to believe he was following the woman around the store.

Elliott is seen on camera continuing to place his phone on the ground to film the female customer.

The woman who filmed Elliott eventually posted the video to social media, which ended with Elliott’s arrest.

When police arrested Elliot, “he denied doing anything wrong and showed us (the police) the recent photos he had on his cell phone.”

They are looking for “deleted information that can be recovered through forensics,” according to WITN.

Police say they have not yet discovered anything inappropriate involving children on the phone.

Elliott was released after posting $5,000 bail and had his first court appearance on Tuesday, Greenville police told DailyMail.com.

The man volunteers at Eastern Elementary School in Greenville, but a spokesperson for the county schools says they likely won’t get him back.

“We are disturbed and deeply concerned by the video footage of the individual shared on social media and news media, and based on the footage, the individual will not be returning to our campuses as a volunteer or hired as an employee,” the spokesperson said. McClellan added that volunteers and visitors go through a screening program that finds out if they are on a sex offender list before they are hired.

Elliot was also a parishioner at Opendoor Church and appears to have been baptized recently.

The church said in a statement: “Safety and security are of the utmost importance to us. We take this situation extremely seriously. He is no longer allowed on our properties.

“We continue to seek God’s wisdom in the aftermath of this situation. We pray for God’s healing and deliverance for all those affected.”
