Target is offering a $25 holiday meal for inflation-stricken families this holiday season — following the success of its value Thanksgiving deal.

The feast, designed to feed a family of four, includes a 5 lb. ham, 5 lb. russet potatoes, French bread, mushroom soup, green beans, corn and some of the day's favorite peppermint sandwich cookies.

Shoppers can take advantage of the deal from now until December 25. Last month, the store offered an entire Thanksgiving meal for the same price.

Rick Gomez, head of food and beverage at Target. said such offerings provide families with a “combination of value and joy.”

“We saw that again at Thanksgiving, so we're building on that success by offering even more of what they love,” he added.

The meal can be ordered online and picked up the same day via the drive-by service. Offer not valid in Alaska or Hawaii.

Target also announced it is offering hundreds of new seasonal items, including products from iconic, upscale British retailer Marks & Spencer (M&S).

M&S luxury items on offer include a box of Snowy Night Cookies worth $19.99, an M&S Swiss Chocolate Truffle Assortment Light-Up Tree worth $17.99 and a bottle of prosecco worth $14.99.

The cheap Christmas deal will undoubtedly be welcome news for families amid a year of red-hot inflation, which has put unprecedented pressure on household budgets.

Annual inflation fell to 3.2 percent in October – a significant drop from the peak of 9.1 percent in June 2022, but still well above the 2 percent target imposed by the Federal Reserve. In total, prices have increased by 17 percent since 2021.

An analysis from Wells Fargo last month found that the cost of a Thanksgiving meal rose slightly, even as turkeys fell in price.

According to the report, the cost of ham increased 5 percent in November compared to the previous year.

Russet potatoes were also up 14 percent. Canned cranberries, green beans and pumpkins rose 60 percent, 9 percent and 30 percent, respectively.

The Agri-Food Institute suggested that Americans could get better prices if they live in the states where the goods come from.

It's no surprise that families are cutting back on spending. A recent WalletHub survey found that more than one in three Americans will forego gifts this year due to inflation.

And 28 percent said they plan to spend less on their Christmas purchases this year than last year.
