Target Australia’s $90 dupe of a sell-out $710 set stuns shoppers: ‘Best buy of 2024’

Fashion fans are rushing to Target to get their hands on a $90 shirt and pants set after one customer noticed its resemblance to a designer version costing more than $700.

Target Australia’s Blend Short Sleeve Shirt and Linen Blend Print Wide Leg Shirt with a Linen Blend Print Tile Pattern from Target Australia are very similar to the Gisela Shirt and Gisela Pants from luxury brand Alemais.

Australian stylist Brooke Falvey was so impressed with the affordable find that she raved about it to her 90,000 Instagram followers.

“Remember last year when I had everyone in stitches with this shirt that was kind of a Zimmermann dupe from Target? Well, they’ve done it again. It’s more of an Alemais vibe,” Brooke said.

‘You can easily combine it with some jewelry, a bag and a pair of slippers.’

Brooke loves the loose-fitting design for its soft material and casual fit, which is perfect for warmer weather, and her fans loved it too.

“I loved it so much I bought it online! I hope it arrives before I go to Bali,” said one woman.

“Thanks for influencing me, I missed the last print but I managed to get this one,” said another.

Although most people like the easy summer look, there were also women who thought it was too casual.

“I like the set, but is it just me or does it give me a summer pajama feeling,” said one woman.

Brooke says you can dress up the look with additional accessories to make it more sophisticated, but you can also wear the shirts and pants separately, especially with denim.

Brooke’s message had already sold out several sizes of the garden tile shirt.

“I just looked online and everyone is so excited that they are now only doing 8-10 inch shirts via click and collect,” Brooke said.

It’s not the first time a Target fashion imitation has left fans stunned.

Target recently sold out of a $70 denim dress that was nearly identical to a design that luxury brand Aje was selling for $525.
