Tarago crash: Brooke Sorlie’s dad shares heartbreaking revelation after she was killed in tragic triple fatal crash near Goulburn NSW
The distraught father of a young woman tragically killed in a triple death is devastated that she will never meet her sister.
Brooke Sorlie, 21, and Charlie Quinn, 18, were travelling in a car with two men, aged 21 and 20, through Tarago, about 40km south of Goulburn in the NSW Southern Highlands, when the vehicle left the road and overturned about 1.10pm on Sunday.
Ms Sorlie, Ms Quinn and the 20-year-old man died at the scene, while the 21-year-old driver, Lachlan Stuckey, Ms Quinn’s boyfriend, escaped with minor injuries.
He managed to climb out of the vehicle unaided and was taken by helicopter to hospital in Canberra for treatment and mandatory blood tests.
He remains in hospital, under police guard.
Mrs Sorlie’s father, Svein Sorlie, wrote an emotional message on Facebook on Tuesday.
“Brooke Charmain Sorlie, my beautiful 21 year old daughter, tragically passed away two days ago in a car accident,” he wrote.
He expressed his sadness that Brooke would never meet her younger sister Amelia Grace, who was born a few years ago.

“You never met your sister Amelia Grace, but I promise she will know everything about you: your goodness, your honesty and your wonderful soul,” he wrote.
Mr. Sorlie lives abroad and wrote how sorry he was that he was no longer with her.
‘The time we spent apart weighs heavily on me, yet I cherish the precious memories of our moments – the trips, the laughter, the warm hugs.
‘Our many adventures together over the years.’
He praised his daughter as a “champion of honesty, a light in every room with her cheerful and positive spirit, always bringing joy to those around her.”
Mr. Sorlie also recalled their last holiday together.
‘Our last trip and adventure, the two weeks of diving and other fun things to do in El Nido, Philippines, were filled with fantastic memories together with your sister.’
He concluded his tribute to his daughter with heartfelt words.
“They say God loves flowers, and He certainly chose the most beautiful ones from you, my girl.” “You will always be in my heart, Dad,” he wrote.
Brooke Sorlie was one of three people killed in a car crash on Sunday in Tarago, about 40km south of Goulburn in the NSW Southern Highlands.
The tragedy has prompted an outpouring of tributes to the three victims of the crash, all of whom are from the Shoalhaven region on the New South Wales south coast.
A friend described Ms Quinn as a “wonderful friend”.
“She always had time for everyone, was always kind and positive, was loved by everyone and had an infectious smile,” they told Daily Mail Australia.
Another friend said she would be “gone, but never forgotten.”
“You’ll be with a lot of Char,” they said.

One of Mrs Sorlie’s friends said she ‘always had a smile that brightened everyone’s day’.
“I will always cherish the memories of you, beautiful girl,” she said.
“I love you, Brookie Chookie.”
Another friend of Mrs. Sorlie wrote online: ‘Fly high, beautiful angel.’
‘I’m looking at the sky for you.’
According to social media, Ms Quinn left Bomaderry High School last year and went on to study through TAFE.
Mrs Sorlie, a keen horse rider, graduated from St John the Evangelist Catholic High School in Nowra several years ago.
Photos posted online show the girls enjoying the best time of their lives: on holiday with their boyfriends, going to music festivals and hanging out with friends.
Daily Mail Australia reports that the group was travelling home to the Shoalhaven region at the time of the crash.
A woman who was among the first on the scene said she and other bystanders desperately tried to save the lives of the other man and woman as they waited for emergency services to arrive.
“They were unconscious. We were giving them CPR but it just wasn’t working. It was horrible,” she told Daily Mail Australia.

‘One girl was still stuck in the car – the driver’s girlfriend. I can still hear his screams.
“He was screaming as he tried to get into the car and get his girlfriend out.”
Special accident investigators are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident, including whether speed played a role.
The tragedy has sparked outrage online, with local residents expressing their displeasure at the condition of the road, which is often used by trucks.
“One of the worst roads I’ve ever driven on. Potholes everywhere. It’s been shocking for years,” said one.
Another added: ‘The roads are a disgrace. I drive on them a lot and it’s not fair that the roads are in this state.’
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
