A murderous transgender pedophile who brutally raped a three-month-old baby is seeking release from prison to attend an indigenous ceremony.
Tara Desousa, 43, has filed an application in the Federal Court in Canada to overturn a Fraser Valley Institution decision denying her “temporary absence.”
Desousa, then known as Adam Laboucan, was 15 when she sexually assaulted a baby she was babysitting in Quesnel, British Columbia, in 1997.
Due to the gruesome nature of her crime, the baby had to undergo reconstructive surgery to repair the injuries sustained during the diabolical attack.
During her trial, she also admitted to drowning a three-year-old boy at the age of 11, with her crimes labeling her as Canada’s youngest “dangerous offender.”
In an October filing, she said she had first applied for supervised leave to attend a ceremony at the Anderson Lodge “women’s healing center” in August 2023.

He added that many people “who come into our facilities are dealing with a lot of historical trauma.”
Thomas added that the association wants to take a “holistic” approach to helping people heal through ceremonies.
According to the CEO, the group ‘leaves the final judgment to the creator’ and strict conditions and protocols apply to violators.
He added: “I understand and I see both sides and it is often very difficult to put our judgments aside.
“But at the same time, we work with them and believe that everyone has a chance for change.”
Desousa underwent so-called “gender affirming surgery” while behind bars in 2018 and is currently serving an indefinite sentence.
Imposing her sentence, Judge Victor Curtis ruled that there was no foreseeable “period of time in which Adam Laboucan could be cured.”
