Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans had some interesting things to say about New York Jets’ Quinnen Williams, and the defensive tackle’s reaction is priceless

Defensive linemen like Quinnen Williams must be among the toughest players in the NFL, and they’re apparently not safe from the insults of their peers.

On this week’s episode of “Hard Knocks,” Williams shared what Bucs and Mike Evans said to him when Tampa Bay held joint practice with the Jets.

Mike Evans called me fat. He called me fat, man,” Williams could be seen saying to his position mates.

“Bro, I lost weight this season! I look fat? Now I’m self-conscious, bro.”

Williams’ teammate Michael Clemons offered a dose of reality as he cheered on the 303-pound lineman.

“I’d say you’re not skinny. But I think you’re suitable for someone who isn’t skinny.’

An off-screen voice added that Williams, who was a first-team All-Pro last season, was “fat.”

Clemons nodded his head when Williams asked if he looked good for his weight, while the off-screen voice told him he looked “proportionate.”

Regardless of his playing weight, the fifth-year player has established himself as one of the Jets’ defensive leaders, having posted a team-high 12 sacks last year.

And Williams was awarded a four-year contract extension by the franchise in July, worth $96 million.

The Jets entered the highly anticipated 2023 season with Aaron Rodgers now at quarterback and were selected for MAX’s (formerly HBO) “Hard Knocks.”

The Jets begin their season on September 11 against the Bills.
