Former Home and Away star Tammin Sursok attended an anti-gun rally Thursday after her daughter was caught up in the horrific school shooting in Nashville, Tennessee.
Three children and three adults at The Covenant School in Nashville were tragically killed in the mass shooting Monday morning.
Tammin, 39, lives in Nashville with her husband Sean McEwen and their two daughters, Phoenix, nine, and Lennon, three.
His eldest daughter attends a school very close to The Covenant School and it was closed as a precaution.
The actress posted on Instagram the morning of the shooting and was incredibly distraught when she told her followers that the Phoenix school was closed.

He described the ordeal as “too close to home” for many parents in the United States, where school shootings occur almost every year.
The mother-of-two has been vocal about her anti-gun views and attended a protest Thursday outside the Tennessee State Capitol.
She, along with thousands of others, held up signs that read ‘Protect Children Not Guns’ and ‘School attendance should not be a death sentence.’
The actress shared several photos and videos of the rally on Instagram and pleaded with US lawmakers to change the country’s gun laws.
In the caption of the photo, she wrote: ‘We all want a change! Yes, I know we all have different opinions and I respect them all. I’m so open to conversation, but LET’S START SOMEWHERE!
‘Today was extremely emotional. By the time I walked up to the capitol building, I started crying. Many of us were crying. We can’t live like this anymore and we all know it.
The mother-of-two is voicing her anti-gun views and attended a protest Thursday outside the Tennessee State Capitol.
‘We don’t just want change, we need change, our lives depend on it.’
The Pretty Little Liars star said she used to be afraid to speak out about political issues for “fear of hate and ridicule” but now she’s sick of keeping quiet.
She added: ‘I had so many conversations today with conservatives, Democrats, Republicans and it’s unanimous, something has to be done.
‘We all want to send our children to school and know that they will come home.’
To try to keep her daughters safe, Tammin bought them bulletproof backpacks, but said ‘this is not normal’.

‘We know that buying bulletproof backpacks and shoes without laces, so our children don’t fall when running from a shooter, IS NOT NORMAL!’ she continued in the Instagram post.
‘I beg you, don’t keep quiet. I beg you to try to find a way to move forward together.
“I beg you to have a social media platform to open up the conversation with your followers.
“This has never been a discussion about legal possession of a gun as a law abiding citizen. That has never been the issue at hand. Sensible and reasonable regulations that make sense. For all of us!!!
The actress attended the rally where signs like ‘Protect children, not guns’ and ‘school attendance should not be a death sentence’ were put up.
‘Let’s go together. We are much more alike than different. We can do this.’
On Monday, Tammin was left in years when she discovered that her daughter’s school had been closed as a precaution.
‘There’s been an active shooter at one of the Nashville schools… It’s right next to my daughter’s school. She’s locked up, she’s fine,” she said at the time.
“I know a lot of other moms are in complete hysterics and shaking right now, because I can’t believe this is still happening. And you always think that it will not happen to you.
