A son, tired of a real estate agent’s failed attempts to sell his parents’ plot of land, has taken matters into his own hands.
Daniel Robson-Petch’s parents, Leanne and Daryl, have been trying to unload their 2-acre plot of land in Tamborine, near the Gold Coast, for the past 18 months.
When the selling agents failed to generate interest, Daniel and his wife Tia filmed a promotional video for the site.
The clip sparked a flurry of questions from potential buyers — and two real estate agencies have since offered Daniel a job.

“Daniel’s parents originally bought the land for the family,” Tia told Daily Mail Australia.
“They were building a big house and they wanted to put us there because we are trying to have a child. It would become a family nest.’
Plans for their dream home were derailed after Daniel’s parents’ motorcycle insurance company had to close earlier this year.
They now hope to sell the property for just over the $487,000 they paid for it.
“They’ve lost their business and are desperate to sell it, but they have no support from the brokers at all,” Tia said.
“They’ve seen several real estate agents who just say ‘you have to pay $2,000 for marketing’ but don’t seem to do anything to promote the place.”
Though a physio in his day job, Tia said her husband was a “drama kid at heart” and came up with the idea for the video.
“He loves attention – he’s a show pony,” she laughed. “He directed me like a diva.”
The video, which the couple shared on Facebook on Wednesday, is titled: “If the broker does his job mediocre.”
The piece of land was supposed to be a “family nest egg” for Daniel and Tia to raise their children

Dressed in a white shirt, cream blazer and with a well-trimmed moustache, Daniel addressed the viewer directly.
Houses too expensive? Do you want to build? Welcome to Dellcal Place, Tamborine. Look at this,” he says.
The footage alternates between aerial shots describing the features of the property and Daniel performing pieces on camera at various locations around the plot of land.
Kneeling over a large spirit level, he looks up and says, “Just as I suspected: that’s a completely cut-out slab to build your dream home on.”
In another shot, he unzips a tent and says, “He’s ready to live right away. A house would be better, but.”
He flips open a camping chair and adds, “Or you can sit down, relax and enjoy the atmosphere of Tamborine. Or just read a book in silence. Or just dance on a chair.’
The property, listed in real estate (pictured), is described as a “lush 2.36 acre block with natural bushland scenery and a serenity you could only have dreamed of”
He invites viewers to “imagine the feeling” of having purchased the property, then sprays a bottle of champagne – which initially hits him in the face.
“If you buy this piece of land, I’ll be the only thing missing…” he adds.
The video, which features an actual blooper of Daniel spitting out his line, has been viewed thousands of times.
“Great stuff, born real estate agent in the making, or an actor for Home and Away,” one viewer wrote.
In fact, Tia said that Coronis, a Queensland real estate company, had contacted him privately to offer him a job and that he had also already been asked to make a video for someone else’s plot of land in nearby Jimboomba.
The plot is listed on RealEstate.com.au, which claims it is the perfect place for those seeking the ‘magic of acreage serenity in a location renowned for its tranquility’.
‘Centered between the glittering beaches of the Gold Coast and the cosmopolitan lifestyle of the Brisbane CBD, this is a lush 2.36 acre block with natural bushland scenery and a serenity you could only dream of,’ he adds up to it.
