Talk about a rip off! Balenciaga charges £1,150 for pair of tights full of holes and ladders… £400 more than the intact version

Balenciaga is asking £1,150 for a pair of tights full of holes and ladders.

The luxury fashion brand’s ‘destroyed tights’ cost £400 more than their impeccable counterparts, which will set you back just £725.

The tights, which are made in Italy, are advertised on the brand’s website as a “technical knit” with a “destroyed effect” and contrasting double fabric.

Both leggings of the tights, which are available in black and light beige, have several holes.

Fashionistas can also purchase a designer cotton gabardine Paris ‘Resto’ apron for £475.

Part of an Olympic Games souvenir range, the items feature the word ‘Paris’ engraved on the front and decorated with images of the city’s famous landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower and Notre-Dame de Paris.

But despite the fact that the restoration artwork bears the text ‘Made in France’, according to the small print on the website the aprons are actually made in Italy.

The Paris 2024 collection also includes ‘I love Paris’ hoodies for £850, Champ Elysees bags for £175 each and baseball caps costing hundreds of pounds.
