It is these transformational technologies that Taiwan wants to honor with the Taiwan Excellence Awards.
For the past three decades, Taiwan has highlighted its domestic products with the Taiwan Excellence Awards, which recognize products that deliver technical innovation and real, life-changing impact. It is this focus on innovative value that the International Trade Administration (TITA) and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) want to highlight around the world.
Every year, Taiwan Excellence Awards selects only a handful of innovative products that meet strict criteria in R&D, design, quality and marketing. The selected products receive the Taiwan Excellence Award Seal of Approval, which serves as an award and proof of their high standards. A panel of international judges will consider the nominated products for further praise and select standout products to receive the Taiwan Excellence Gold Award or Silver Award.

In the field of display technology, three products not only won the Taiwan Excellence Award, but also earned the Gold Award from the international panel, underscoring the extent of their innovation. These are the ALED Spherical Tile Display from AUO, the Prism display from E Ink and the Primary AM Mini LED Flexible Display from PanelSemi.
The ALED spherical tile display from AUO Corporation
The AUO ALED Dome display features hemispherical mounted LED panels, AUO’s in-house video processing technology, as well as high brightness, saturated colors and incredible contrast, providing a truly immersive visual experience. E Ink prism is a unique and dynamic design material that includes an electronic color ink platform. Prism transforms the way spaces and environments are experienced. Manufacturers and designers now have the ability to integrate innovative films with surfaces and designs to dynamically change colors, patterns and habitats.
Programmable patterns and shapes can be integrated to create designs or functions. Whatever the idea, the possibilities are endless and limited only by a designer’s imagination.
PanelSemi’s primary AM Mini LED flexible display
PanelSemi offers ultra-light and thinnest large displays created using the world’s first Flexible AM Mini LED technology. The displays are available in a range of flexible, roll-up and modular multi-tile styles.
