Taika Waititi was as fashionable as ever as he attended the Red, White & Brass movie premiere on Friday night.

The New Zealand film director went solo to the Sydney Film Festival and made a neat appearance at the State Theatre.

The 47-year-old opted for a black cotton suit that closely matched his slim physique, along with a white T-shirt.

Taika added a gold chain and designer watch, as well as white sneakers for a casual touch.

The film tells the true story of Tongan rugby super fans who fight their way to the Rugby World Cup by forming a marching band.

The director of What We Do in the Shadows went to the film premiere alone, while wife Rita Ora skipped the event.

The British pop star is currently in town filming The Voice Australia alongside fellow judges Jason Derulo, Guy Sebastian and Jessica Mauboy.

The Hot Right Now singer, 32, arrived Down Under with her husband earlier this month.

The couple turned up the temperatures as they posed for a steamy photo shoot for this month’s Vogue Australia.

They revealed in the interview that the secret behind their successful marriage is making time for each other.

“That’s the thing about marriage, about relationships, it’s about finding that person you want to hang out with.” [with] and make sure you do,’ Taika said.

Rita added, “It’s about sacrificing certain things and making time for each other, especially when there are two busy people in the relationship.

“If you really care about someone, you’ll work it out.”
