Taika Waititi enjoys a late dinner with billionaire Justin Hemmes
Taika Waititi enjoyed a night out with some of his local Australian friends on Friday night.
The New Zealand film director headed out for a late dinner at Mimi’s in Sydney’s Coogee, a venue owned by billionaire tax collector Justin Hemmes, who belonged to Taika’s posse.
Hemmes was accompanied by his model girlfriend Madeline Holtzangel, and Elena Ora, the sister of Taika’s wife, Rita, also attended the dinner.
The group of A-listers enjoyed an animated chat during their meal, with Justin and Madeline cuddling together.
They partied late into the night and still enjoyed their 1am party at their table.

Taika’s wife Rita was missing from the meeting, while the British pop star skipped the outing.
Taika had been to the Sydney Film Festival earlier that evening, also solo, and made a respectable appearance at the State Theatre.
He was as fashionable as ever when he attended the movie premiere of Red, White & Brass and later went out to dinner in the same outfit.
The 47-year-old opted for a black cotton suit that closely matched his slim physique, along with a white T-shirt.

The film tells the true story of Tongan rugby super fans who fight their way to the Rugby World Cup by forming a marching band.
Rita is currently in town filming The Voice Australia along with fellow judges Jason Derulo, Guy Sebastian and Jessica Mauboy.
The Hot Right Now singer, 32, arrived Down Under with her husband earlier this month.

The couple turned up the temperatures as they posed for a steamy photo shoot for this month’s Vogue Australia.
They revealed in the interview that the secret behind their successful marriage is making time for each other.
“That’s the thing about marriage, about relationships, it’s about finding that person you want to hang out with.” [with] and make sure you do,’ Taika said.
Rita added, “It’s about sacrificing certain things and making time for each other, especially when there are two busy people in the relationship.
“If you really care about someone, you’ll work it out.”
