The Thor director, 47, was enjoying a low-key outing, picking up some goods from an Italian-style ice cream and frozen yogurt shop in Chippendale.
Taika showed off his quirky style on the outing, wearing a beige T-shirt, slacks and a tie-dye backwards cap.
He paired the look with tinted aviators and sneakers.
It comes after Rita Ora, 32, finally confirmed in January that she and Taika had officially tied the knot and become husband and wife.
