T.I. countersues ex pal Sabrina Peterson for defamation three years after she accused him of sexual abuse
TI is suing his former girlfriend Sabrina Peterson for defamation of three years after she made a series of serious allegations against him and sued him.
The 44-year-old rapper, whose real name is Clifford Joseph Harris Jr. is, claimed that Peterson became “obsessed” with him and his family when they ended their friendship with her.
He claimed they cut ties with Peterson because she was not a “positive” influence on them, which allegedly prompted her to post “false” and “baseless” accusations against them on social media, according to a new file obtained by TMZ.
TI alleged that Peterson’s posts about him and his family are defamatory and were uploaded with the intent to “intimidate” his loved ones, the outlet reported.
The rapper also claimed that he is not the first person to be a victim of Peterson’s behavior on social media, claiming that there are unnamed people who have successfully sought and received legal protection from her over the years.
With the new lawsuit, he claims he was bothered by her online behavior and is seeking an unspecified amount of damages.

And their previous legal battle – in which she accused TI and his wife of defamation and invasion of privacy among five other since-dismissed claims – is still ongoing.
In her lawsuit filed in March 2021, Peterson previously alleged that TI and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris drugged multiple women to sexually abuse them.
She also claimed that TI once held a gun to her head and threatened her with ‘B****, I’ll kill you’ after she got into an argument with his assistant.
TI and Tiny denied the allegations, and the couple’s lawyer denounced the accusations, likening them to a “nasty shakedown campaign” at the time.
This comes a week after a judge postponed the jury date for the original case, previously scheduled for Saturday, December 14, and pushed back the trial date six months into 2025.
More than three years ago, Peterson accused TI and Tiny of defamation with social media posts in which they called her “strange,” threatened her with a gun and sexually assaulted several women.
She claimed the couple and another friend, Shekinah Jones Anderson, defamed her when they shared “demonstrably false” statements on social media that people online “reasonably” understood to be about her.
The social media post in question was shared by Tiny and featured a photo of TI posing with Peterson’s then eight-year-old son.

“Wait a minute,” Tiny wrote in her January 26, 2021 post. “So you want your abuser to train your sons? He was uncle only 2 years ago… When did you say my husband attacked you? Have you changed your mind or come back? What’s wrong with you today? Pooh?… You’re strange. Everyone knows you’ve been special.’
Three days later, TI and Tiny posted a joint statement denying Peterson’s claims.
TI also posted a video on his Instagram that later went viral. “Everything we’ve ever done has been done with consensus adults who like what we like and like what we like,” he said.
‘We want something, we know exactly where to get it. We never forced anyone, we never drugged anyone against their will. We have never held anyone against their will,” he continued. “We didn’t let anyone do anything. We never traded anything. Well, sexual intercourse, whatever. I’ve never raped anyone before.’
TI and Tiny fought the lawsuit through California’s 2nd Appellate District, and the appeals court ruling resulted in the judge throwing out five of the seven lawsuits in Peterson’s lawsuit first filed in March 2021.
After the claims – which included trade defamation, intentional and negligent interference with prospective economic advantage, and intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress – were dismissed, Peterson was ordered to pay TI and Tiny’s legal fees.
Just months ago, TI and his wife accused Tiny Peterson of evading the $96,000 restitution she owed them after unsuccessfully suing them.
In September, the couple filed a lawsuit against Peterson, claiming she willfully refuses to pay the court-ordered amount, according to documents obtained by In touch.
Earlier this month, a judge sided with TI and Tiny and agreed to sign an order “charging” Peterson for failing to pay the five-figure sum in attorneys’ fees. But the judge denied TI and Tiny’s attempt to dismiss the remaining claims, and the trial will still take place

And earlier this month, a judge sided with TI and Tiny when Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Michael Shultz agreed to sign an order charging Peterson with contempt for failing to pay the five-figure amount in attorneys’ fees they previously agreed to had been convicted. pay them, per Rolling stone.
However, the judge denied TI and Tiny’s attempt to dismiss the remaining claims, and the trial will still take place; the judge postponed the trial on Peterson’s remaining claims of defamation and invasion of privacy to June.
The judge set the contempt hearing for March 6 next year, stating: “If she does not appear, it is understood that I will issue a warrant for her arrest.”
Peterson told the newspaper at the time that she was “looking forward” to the hearing and was “excited that justice would be served.”
“This has been a very long and emotionally, mentally and financially taxing road,” she said.
‘I’m devastated that I won’t be able to go to court in five days, but I’m glad things are moving forward. I look forward to my day in court. I’m glad justice will be done.”
Their original trial date has been postponed to begin on June 9, 2025. A trial for TI’s final lawsuit has not yet been scheduled.
