T.I. ARRESTED and taken to jail in shock case of ‘mistaken identity’ at Atlanta airport

TI was arrested in a case of reported mistaken identity at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Atlanta on Sunday, August 4

The rapper, 43, was taken into custody after an arrest warrant was reportedly issued for another man named Clifford Harris — which is T.I.’s real name — with the other Harris wanted in Baltimore, Baltimore County, Maryland, per TMZ.

Suspect Harris is wanted for alleged involvement in violent behavior against a woman and stalking, possibly involving the use of a firearm.

TI was taken to the Fulton County Jail and the arrest triggered an automatic extradition hearing since the warrant was issued out of state.

TI’s attorney, Steve Sadow, told the publication that he called the Fulton County sheriff’s office and had TI released within two hours of his arrest.

In January, a woman filed a lawsuit against TI and his wife Tiny Harris, accusing them of drugging and sexually assaulting her in 2005.

The woman alleged that Tiny bought her a drink at a club before she ended up in a hotel room with the pair. Tiny rubbed up against her and TI penetrated her vaginally with his toe despite her saying no, according to court documents obtained by DailyMail.com.

Tiny, 48, and TI denied the allegations in a statement to the outlet, saying they had denied the allegations for the past three years. The allegations are similar to ones the couple faced from a military man in 2021, but it’s not known if the new lawsuit is the same incident. Ultimately, no charges were filed against the couple, as the incident fell outside the 10-year statute of limitations.

“With positivity, negativity always rears its ugly head. This plaintiff has been threatening to file this lawsuit for THREE years,” the couple said in their statement to TMZ.

‘For THREE years we have emphatically and categorically denied these allegations. For THREE years we have maintained our innocence and refused to pay these outrageous demands for things we did not do.

For THREE years we have maintained the same position, while the claims in this story have changed over and over again. Our position is clear… We are innocent of these false claims, we will not be extorted and we look forward to our day in court.’

DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for the couple for comment.
