A single mom is stunned after neighbors complained about her barking dog and sent her a letter demanding she walk her pet at 6am.
The woman found a letter on the back gate of her property in Randwick, Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
The letter claimed to be written by residents from three different streets and opened with an apology before commenting on the dog’s “disturbing” barking.
“We understand that dogs will bark, but some neighbors think it’s a bit unfair and a bit inconsiderate that the dogs are allowed outside from 6am, which is a wake-up call for neighbors as the barking echoes through neighboring streets,” he said. It.

“You have some neighbors who are police officers, nurses and other shift workers who have just finished a night shift and are trying to sleep at this early morning time.
“We also have two retirement homes nearby that upset some residents.”
The local residents said they had been urged by the RSPCA to complain to the council, but instead decided to write the note, hoping to resolve the matter.
They suggested to the dog owner that she let her pet out at 6am if she was “already awake.”
“There are plenty of parks within walking distance that allow dogs, and this could solve the problem and concerns of some of your fellow neighbors,” they wrote.
The dog owner responded to the demands of the neighbor letter via social media.
“You’ve suggested that since I get up at 6am when the neighbors are trying to sleep that I let him out at that time…it’s just not possible,” she wrote.
“As a single mom, I get up at 5:15am to prepare school lunches and breakfasts, organize school bags, and get two kids ready for sports practice and/or school and myself for the day at the client’s office or my home office.”

The dog owner – who said she lost 80 percent of her hearing due to a chronic illness – also included a photo of her dog, which she said she walked daily.
The woman said that despite the group’s insistence that they had tried to contact her, she had not been aware that anyone had come to her home to discuss the matter.
“I’m surprised I didn’t hear your knocking on the door. Even though I have a hearing impairment, I’m right next door,” she said.
She “warmly” invited disgruntled neighbors to take the matter to her personally, saying she had a “very open door policy.”
She said the dog “only barks when people loiter or come near the back gate to protect the property,” and that she “would be reported to the RSPCA for animal cruelty if I kept him indoors all day.”
“Employees inevitably sleep the night shift when deliveries are made during the day, so it’s a difficult coexistence.”
