Sydney woman fires back at neighbour’s note calling her an ‘inconsiderate beast’ over barking puppy

Aggressive note calling puppy owner an ‘inconsiderate beast’ stirs wild public stoush as neighbors wage war over ‘bully dog’

  • Puppy owner responded with a sarcastic comment

An irate neighbor has gotten into a spat of words with a nearby resident after they were publicly labeled an “inconsiderate beast” for their barking puppy.

Rachel Lee, from Sydney’s eastern suburbs, saw the aggressive note taped to the front of her house on Sunday.

The anonymous note called her 12-week-old puppy a “serious vermin” and said the dog should be “silenced.”

“Your dog is a nuisance when you’re home,” the note read.

“Your dog is a serious nuisance when you’re gone. Silence the dog, you inconsiderate beast.’

A neighbor in Sydney’s eastern suburbs left an aggressive note on the front of a dog owner’s house labeling them an ‘inconsiderate beast’ for their barking pet

The puppy owner responded to the note in a sarcastic letter thanking the neighbor for their “kind words”

Ms. Lee responded by pasting a sarcastic response under the sticker – complete with smiling faces and a love heart.

“Dear Neighbor, Thank you for your kind note and informing me that my 12-week-old puppy is barking and disturbing your peace!” Ms. Lee wrote.

“Bought a zap collar hoping it STOPS the horrible behavior. Sincerely, your ANIMAL neighbor.

“PS I like your beautiful sticker.”

Ms Lee later said she joked about using a zap collar on her beloved pet after some locals expressed concern that she would use the vicious device.

“I absolutely do not collar my puppy,” Ms. Lee wrote.

“I’m a stay-at-home mom, so I’m home most days and if not he [the puppy] comes with me – definitely no separation anxiety either.

“He just barks because he’s a puppy and we’re trying to teach him. The person who wrote that sticker is clearly a psychopath.”

Rachel Lee explained that she was trying to teach her 12 week old puppy not to bark (stock image of 12 week old German Shepard puppy)

Another local resident shared a photo of the exchange to the Coogee and Randwick Local Loop Facebook group on Sunday, in defense of Ms. Lee.

“To our neighbor who put this up: we love you and your sweet dog,” the resident wrote.

“I can’t believe someone put that sticker on, how awful!”

The post received a number of comments, with many locals berating the anonymous neighbor for leaving the rude note.

Oml [oh my lord]dogs barking, babies crying, seriously, people need to calm down, we don’t go around telling other people to stop showing signs of their existence, jeez,” one person wrote.

“They went out of their way to print a sticker and yet they couldn’t go next door to chat in person, I fear for all of humanity, I really do,” another person commented.

“People don’t have a heart anymore, I’m so done with society,” a third agreed.

Others praised Ms. Lee’s humorous response, with one comment: “That troll answered like a boss.”

Another person agreed: “I was shocked when I saw that sticker, so glad you wrote such a funny comment on it (had me giggling). Send love to the puppy!’
