Hundreds of Sydney Train services have been canceled due to a strike by members of the state’s rail union, leading to widespread disruption for commuters across the city.
Widespread delays are expected after members of the Rail, Tram and Bus Union escalated their industrial action on Wednesday.
By 6.30am hundreds of services had already been cancelled, with further delays, ahead of rush hour.
Commuters are being warned to expect ‘major’ delays as back-to-back services on the rail network are cancelled.
The strike has caused chaos on Sydney platforms as frustrated commuters desperately wait for a service.
