Thousands of fans stranded at Olympic Park after Matildas’ semi-final against England on Wednesday night after a signal failure caused travel chaos
The incident comes after Sydney’s train system made headlines this week as thousands of fans were trapped in Olympic Park after the Matildas semi-final against England on Wednesday night.
The massive disruption to overnight train services following Australia’s loss to England was caused by a signal failure at a railway station in Sydney’s inner west.
Two homeless men cut open wires in the station’s relay room, causing travel chaos and forcing NSW Prime Minister Chris Minns to apologize to the passengers.
