Sydney Taxi driver refuses to let passenger out as the car drives through CBD with both doors open
Bizarre moment when a taxi drives down a busy city street with both doors open and the passenger demands to be let out – as a heated argument erupts over the fare
- Cab drove off with doors open and passenger inside
- They were arguing about how the ride would be paid
A taxi was seen cruising the streets of an Australian town with both doors open as the driver and a passenger argued over the fare.
The male passenger had taken a ride through the Sydney CBD on Sunday, but when he wanted to get off at Oxford Street, an argument broke out over the method of payment.
Clearly the argument was centered on whether payment would be cash or card.
A worker at a nearby construction site filmed the taxi passing on the road with the doors open, while the passenger also shared a short clip from inside the cab.
Shocked onlookers saw the taxi as it drove down a street in Sydney’s CBD with both doors open as a construction site worker filmed a video
The passenger – who had opened the doors to get out before the car drove off – can be heard saying, “I’m being taken away” in the clip.
“Can you please close the door,” the driver fires back, but doesn’t stop the car.
It is clear that the passenger has lodged a complaint with the taxi company in question.
The police are also aware of the incident and are investigating.
